Heads cautiously to the hall after the rest of the party, once he's looked at his wound to see if the cut is clean or should be treated quickly...

"So much for a peaceful day..." :)

"Are we to just leave these things here and let them somehow surprise us from behind later?"

(Sorry guys, I'm waiting on something before I can continue the hall adventure. We should be able to pick it up tomorrow in any case)

"I propose we finish them off, I don't think they are of any use to us..."

"I'm up for finishing them off also..."

*Si'Nat takes his newly equipped sword and attempts to slay one of the humanoids with it...*

The sword slides easily into the creature's chest. It doesn't even make a sound as it keels over. The others start growling and making louder noises and frantically tear at their bonds.

**Is it just me, or did you enjoy that a little too much? :devilish grin:**

Patrick helps finish off the helpless mongrels, not wishing to leave a threat behind. Once we have things in the hallway under control, I still want to search those walls for any concealed doors... as well as look for possible trapdoors down... Particularly around those tables where the beasts were. And we should search the bodies for anything of value... but the threat in the hall comes first... :)

(Man, this sucks. Someone wanted to join in and I was going to intro him here but he hasn't replied to my PM nor I think even been on the site before then. So I'm just going to scrap it rather than trying to fit something else in. How disappointing. Sorry guys)

One by one, the creatures meet their demise at the end of a blade. After the last one is slain and Patrick and Si'Nat wipe and clean their blades, they join the others out in the hallway. The rest of the party is on their guard and looking up and down the corridor and around the corner but nothing is in sight. Rondo shrugs. "Sorry lads, I thought I heard footsteps out here." Patrick heads back into the room and begins to examine the walls and area behind the overturned tables in the southeast corner.

Rondo turns around, and stumps his way back into the room grumbling about echoes, and hearing things...

"You lads kilt 'em already?!? I wanted to ask 'em a few questions." He shakes his head, and grumbles a bit about impetuous humans and elves...

"We should get rid of those bodies and rest up a bit. Patrick got hurt, an' those mage-types are kinda fragile, if you know what I mean. Any way we could lock this door here?"

"Hey... I may be impetuous... but I didn't know you understood them... it sounded like gargling more than speech... If anyone is interested, there is a small pile of copper over there behind the desk... I didn't find any secret doors, so they must have been under there already... Or I missed something."

Patrick looks for a clean piece of cloth to wrap his wound with... "It's merely a flesh wound, I could continue for now. I still have my spell memorized... they surprised me."

"I really don't like the idea of trying to rest if there's a chance someone saw us and went to warn others..."

(Listening to Patrick, Si'Nat walks over and takes a small portion of the copper and puts it in his bp, then turns one of the tables upright, takes the now ownerless swords the humanoids had and lays them on it...)

"If we're going to rest a bit, will someone help me move one of these overturned tables over to the door to help brace it? If we're not going to rest, what's next?"

"Hmmph...fine then, lad. If you say you kin go on then we will, I reckon. I guess we should form up then, an' continue on down the hallway.

"By the way, I'm thinkin those things is kobolds. Most of us dwarvish folk know at least a wee bit of the kobold tongue. Goblin too, an a few others, so if we capture any more of the foul beasties I wanna talk to 'em a bit afore ye goes an kills 'em again, alright?"

(It sounds like you're going on...)

Exiting the room, you continue south for 30 feet when you see a door in the east wall another 20 feet down open. Five humanoids wearing blood-red robes with hoods enter the hall. The hoods are up, so no facial features can be seen. Each robe is covered with eyes, all the same size and shape. Each humanoid also carries a shield which has a single red eye device on the front.

They notice your presence and form up in two lines facing you and the one in back speaks in a gruff tone "Who are you?"

(in the map, P is party and H is humanoids)
