Dorgath's search of the room reveals another sword. Also, there is a chain attached to the well. It doesn't seem to be anchored or attached to anything heavy, as Dorgath feels considerable slack. However, he cannot see the end of the chain without hauling the chain up...

Dorgath will identify the new sword.

"Should I pull on the chain to see what's at the end? You guys ready in case of any surprises?"

"Well, first let's see what this chain has to offer."

After identifying the new sword and making sure the others are ready, Dorgath will pull on the chain until there's no slack and/or the end comes into view.

-Dorgath identifies a Sword of Might (+1 Strength when wielding it, worth 150 gold).
-Kelgar fully heals Throg.

The other Warriors are ready to strike if anything hostile emerges from the well, but when Dorgath does reach the end of the chain, all he finds is a glowing, golden key.

"Well, this could come in handy."

Dorgath takes the key.

"Anyone need a Sword of Might?"

After awaiting a response and giving the sword away if needed, Dorgath will make sure the group is ready and then exit the room and proceed down the west passage towards the next set of double doors, doing cursory checks along the walls and floors for more secret doors and/or traps and watching to see if the doors spring open suddenly. If he reaches the double doors without incident, he'll check the door for traps and listen.

Dorgath's caution pays off. He detects a pit trap directly in front of the door. If the Warriors had stepped on those tiles, the floor would have collapsed beneath their feet.

"Whew! That was close."

Dorgath searches the walls and floor in front of the trap more carefully, in hopes of finding the disabling mechanism.

Throg will attempt to identify a path around the tiles, in the event that the trap cannot be disabled.

The floor here is simply built to collapse, so it would be impossible to disable this trap. It's actually rather odd that the trap is still in place, considering that you just fought orcs and goblins near here...

"All right, let's look for another way in. Let's backtrack and go west and check out that other door". Referencing the map on page 4 of this thread

As usual, Dorgath will do cursory checks on the way to that door for traps and secret doors.

The trek back to the other door takes a while, but is uneventful and therefore boring. The Warriors arrive at the other door. It is still right where you left it.
