Warhammer Quest: Death Below Karak Azgal

Oversoul

The Tentacled One
No one finds any doors or traps. The room is completely bare. It's unclear just what the minotaurs were doing here in the first place...

Throg finds no traps and hears nothing at the door.

Dorgath's Lifestone of Ashraz and Kelgar's Healing Touch combined heal Dorgath by 5 more Wounds this turn.

Leaping flames illuminate this blackstone chamber, licking hungrily upwards from a gaping fissure in the floor. A slender bridge crosses the chasm towards a towering bronze statue of a dragon.

You have no idea who managed to build a bridge across a chasm that has fire coming out of it; or why they would bother. But here it is.

Edit: Couldn't get the image to work in this post. The board was acting all weirdly. So that's why there's a double-post here. Also, ignore the lack of the door you just entered through. That door is still there. I just messed up. The door didn't disappear. You're not trapped. Do not panic.

"Ha! If the bridge was built by dwarves, that would explain it - they can build anything, anywhere!"

Dorgath will check the bridge and area in front of the bridge for traps.

"Anyone have any rope? It might be wise to tether myself before crossing..."

While Dorgath is checking the bridge for traps (he doesn't find any), he remembers that he has a rope.

If that doesn't work, Throg will hold the rope while Dorgath attempts to cross the shoddily-built dwarf bridge.

It takes Dorgath a while (the rest of the turn, Dorgath's Lifestone of Ashraz heals him of one more Wound, up to 14/15) to secure the rope to one of the posts on the near side of the bridge. The post seems immovable, but Throg stands nearby, ready to grab the rope if anything happens...

Dorgath slips on the bridge and dangles into the flames (Dorgath sustains 4 damage) but makes it to the other side. As soon as he does, six giant rats and twelve giant bats emerge from the shadows, ambushing him.

Wow, sucks to be Dorgath.

Throg will grab the rope and move over to help (if there's room) as quickly as possible.

Dorgath curses as he throws some Flash Powder down and attacks, if able to do so in the same turn/round.
