It's a nice idea. Kinda of like a "One Color against the rest of the world" feel.

The cards from that color would be able to synergized completely with merely itself. The way to level out this synergy is to make the Multi-Colored colors more powerful.

Dealing 1 damage to a creature you control is a bit silly if you have to sacrifice a creature anyway (you can just ping the creature you are pitching). But I like the flavor of a flinging goblin! (Lill' Chuck)

Nah, you can't ping the target you are pinging since you'd have to sacrifice it as an activation cost before you choose targets. But I agree. The 1 damage to a creature you control is a silly. But also is the wording for the next sentence. Suppose you want to sacrifice a creature with power of 1. The ability states that you must divide the divide the damage amongst two or more creatures. Now, I know that all you have to do is divide it 1 and 0, but it's still a bit silly to me.


I like the Rock Thrower. I agree with getting rid of the RFG. Combo with Living Lands (wow).

Hey guys, my first time posting on this thread so if I suggest something toally retarded or something just tell me im an idiot and its all good =D

Just something that came to mind was a new effect for some cards. By effect i mean like sunburst, transmute...You guys get it =P.

I don't know what to call or anything but here it is

(insert mechanic name)(insert number)-If you paid (selected number) or more differant colors of mana to play this spell, you may (insert effect).

Very very very broad but its somehting to work off if you guys think its a good idea.

And the (insert effect) could be like the same for everything or there can be a unique effect for each spell. Or you might even have differant effects on differant cards but have like a cycle o creatures that allow you to search for another creature in the cycle to your hand and if you have all the creatures in that cycle out in play you get a certain effect or something like that..

I don't know =P jus thought id give it a shot.

Maybe not for this card specifically, but changing cards to fit the landcast theme is a good idea..

I like, but especially the echo card. how about a way to remove all those cards to make these usable, and maybe make it a cycle, i'm thinking the invasion set of those 2 colored "voors", magnavor or something like that.

I wanted to incorporate the graveyard in some way with the Evolution scheme, and Black is traditionally the best fit with this. I have the Blue and White Evolution cycles finished, but I want opinions on the other this and the Red cycle first.

Just for refresher, the red cycle was:

Personally, I like the original wording. I think that having to fulfill three color requirements is enough of a drawback. But, perhaps increasing the casting cost to 4RWB would be more balanced?

Anyway, I was looking into making a cycle of cards like this as well. Taking an older Staple Sorcery (Such as Armageddon), allying it with the two enemy colors, and giving the spell an added ability.

For Example:

Return all creatures to their owner’s hand. Then, put X 1/1 green/white ~creature~ tokens into play under your control, where X is equal to the number of creatures returned to their owner’s hand

This card is an enemy-allied version of version of Evacuation. Now, one thing I noticed when I came up with this card and reviewing Ragnarok was that the card seems to only emphasize ONE of the two enemy colors (Black life loss for Ragnarok and Green creature spawn for the new one). I like the tri-colored enemy concept, but am at a loss as how to justify the other color. Perhaps we could just overlook the justification. I don't know.

And while I'm at it, here's the Red version.

The card being reinvented is Rolling Thunder/Disintegrate. And, as you can see, the enemy color being focused is blue.


ALSO, my brother, Prince RXI suggested a couple of keyword mechanics. The first seemed like a good well-rounded mechanic.

DEVOUT: ~this~ cannot be the target of spells or abilities controlled by players other than ~this~’s controller.


The second started off much differently than it ended. BUT, I suggested a drastic change to the concept, which gave an interesting twist to the way we may or not cast spells.

SELF-INFLICT: When you cast this spell, choose target player. That player controls this spell.

Okay, the name may need a little work and the mechanic seems "huh?" But here me out and here's an example:

Self-Inflict
Target creature gets -2/-2 until end of turn. Lose 2 Life.

The first thing you (as the caster) must determine is WHO get to control the spell. Next, the eventual controller can weaken a creature BUT then that same controller will lose the 2 life. The card will still head to the original caster's graveyard (OR maybe not?).

THINK ABOUT IT! Depending on how we decide to word this mechanic, you can take a player out of his/her game. Suppose your opponent has an Arcane Laboratory in play. During your turn, cast this card and it'll count towards your opponents "1 per turn". Or, pick any enchantment in which the ability activates whenever an opponent plays a spell.


I'll let you guys dwell on that. While I'm at this, here's a black enchantment that I came up with as well. Kinda like a drain-life for creatures.

I just think that in mutli-player games, this becomes very broken. And increasing the cost, just makes it undesirable to play at all.

Maybe something like: target player loses life equal to the most land put into any one GY. Or maybe: each opponent lose life equal to the number of put onto their GY.

But, these are just quick thoughts.

Yeah, that was a point. It gives you the option of either you just casting the spell OR you giving it to your opponent.

Reason I didnt make it till end of tunr, because you tap the creater as well. If it was end of turn, then why tap the creature. I could do it so its till end of turn and only use this ability once a turn. That would be better.
