    Card Name: Serve/Protect
    Color: WU
    Cost: 1W/1U
    Type: Instant
    Pow/Tgh:
Rules Text: Target opponent can't be the target of spells or abilities until end of turn. Prevent 1 damage to target creature or player.
    //
Counter target spell that targets you or a creature you control
    Flavor Text:
    Rarity: C
    Artist:
    Number: 13/186
  2. Limited Yes, but we won't care

I agree that drawing cards isn't really white, but I don't want to add the damage prevention to the other effect; they have very little to do with each other.
Seeing that you upgraded the Protect part, perhaps we could make the card like this:

    Serve/Protect
    Instant
    W/1U
Target opponent can't be the target of spells or abilities until end of turn.
    //
Counter target spell that targets you or a creature you control

This way, its a well-costed but restricted counterspell which might also mess up an opponents spell for W.

    How's that?
  3. Mooseman Isengar Tussle

    Serve/Protect
    Instant
    W/1U
Target opponent can't be the target of spells or abilities until end of turn.
    //
Counter target spell that targets you or a creature you control

I really like this card. It can be a major disruption to an opponents game flow.
  4. Mooseman Isengar Tussle

Card Name: Shield of the Void
    Color: W
    Cost: 2W
    Type: Creature - Soldier
    Pow/Tgh: 1/2
Rules Text: Shield of the Void gets +0/+1 for each Plains that has been removed from the game.
    Flavor Text:
    Rarity: C
    Artist:
    Number: 14/186

The only problem I see is that I may be over costed. 1W?
  5. Ransac CPA Trash Man

Maybe it's overcosted, but it's a common anyway. I say leave it the way it is

    Card Name: Subvert
    Color: W
    Cost: 3W
    Type: Instant
    Pow/Tgh:
Rules Text: Remove target creature from the game. It's controller loses 1 life for each B spent to play Subvert
    Flavor Text:
    Rarity: U
    Artist:
    Number: 15/186
  7. Ransac CPA Trash Man

I agree, but only from the standard that it would be nuts in a draft as a common.

I'm kinda torn, but I'll agree with you. We'll see how playtesting goes.

  8. Limited Yes, but we won't care

Agree on making it an uncommon. Should it perhaps cost 4W? or is 3W expensive enough?
  9. Mooseman Isengar Tussle

3W makes this a kick butt uncommon and that's cool.
  10. Mooseman Isengar Tussle

    Card Name: Tears of Eir
    Color: W
    Cost: 1WW
    Type: Instant
    Pow/Tgh:
Rules Text: Plainscast 1: You may remove 1 Plains card from your hand from the game rather than pay this spell's mana cost)
Prevent the next 5 damage to target creature or player.
    Flavor Text:
    Rarity: C
    Artist:
    Number: 16/186

Is 3cc good for 5 prevention? That's my only question on this one.
  11. Ransac CPA Trash Man

Considering that the non-plainscast version costs 1W, I'd say 1WW or 2W works.

    Card Name: The Great Equalizer
    Color: W
    Cost: 2WWW
    Type: Creature - Giant Mystic
    Pow/Tgh: 3/3
Rules Text: When ~ comes into play, you may sacrifice any number of lands. If you do, each opponent must sacrifice a permanent for each land sacrificed in this way.
    Flavor Text:
    Rarity: R
    Artist:
    Number: 17/186

Just one question..... Why is this White? Shouldn't it be Black?
  14. Limited Yes, but we won't care

    Totally agree

I think I made it white because we needed white cards.. but perhaps black would better suited.
  15. Mooseman Isengar Tussle

After reviewing sac land cards, I think white may work here. Let's leave it alone and playtest it.

    On to the next one.

    Card Name: Ved-Folnir, The Hawk
    Color: W
    Cost: 2WW
    Type: Creature - Bird
    Pow/Tgh: 2/3
Rules Text: Flying (This creature can't be blocked except by creatures with flying.)
Sacrifice Ved-Folnir, The Hawk to remove target attacking creature from the game.
    Flavor Text:
    Rarity: C
    Artist:
    Number: 18/186

    Card Name: Veteran Defender
    Color: W
    Cost: 2WW
    Type: Creature - Soldier
    Pow/Tgh: 2/2
Rules Text: Whenever Veteran Defender blocks, put a +0/+1 counter on all blocking creatures.
    Flavor Text:
    Rarity: C
    Artist:
    Number: 19/186

I like both of these. Do you think the CC is okay on both?
  16. Ransac CPA Trash Man

One quick thing on the equalizer: It should DEFINITELY not be a common. ;)

On the other two: Uncommons for both of them.

    Ransac, cpa trash man
  17. Mooseman Isengar Tussle

All 3 Uncommons..... I can see that.... we do have more rares than uncommons and the common to uncommon ratio is about 6:1
  18. Limited Yes, but we won't care

Neither of these cards are common; their abilities are too weird.
The Hawk should be uncommon (but its part of a cycle, right?) or perhaps it should be a (legendary) rare because it has a name. CC is fine though.

And the Veteran Defender's ability is a bit too good to be common. Maybe if it costed 4W?

Oh and I thought the great equalizer should be Rare..
  19. Mooseman Isengar Tussle

The Hawk was not meant to be a legedary card..... I don't like the name=legendary restriction...... Change the name and put the name in the flavor text?

How about 3WW for the Defender as a common?

    Rare? Sure that makes sense.
  20. Limited Yes, but we won't care

Its a restriction does seem kinda logical; if its legendary its worth giving it a specific name.. but changing the name to something more generic and using this name in Flavor text quotes or something seems like a splendid idea.

    Deal.

    Thats decided then.
