To All Players -
Ragnold and Caplon step aside to speak with each other again and then promtly return.
"Very well," says Ragnold. "I'm sure that the royal family will apretiate your help in this unfortunate situation. I'm also sure that there will be great rewards involved."
Caplon says, "This is a rather large city, and there are many apothacary shops and herbalists about. Since the villian is still at large, your will be given a pair of guards, should any one try to thwart your endevors."
Ragnold then mutters to himself. "As the party goers, for the most part, do not know the king is dead...it pains me to do this, but I must. "
He turns to the queen. "You must go, now my lady. Trust me."
The queen kisses her husbands face and is then escorted away by a guard through the rear right door of the ball room.
Ragnold then takes a pich of a green powder from with in his robes and sprinkles it over the king while speaking in an arcane tounge.
The king's body jerks and twitches, and then shakily rises to it's feet. It's mouth hangs slack and it's eyes roll this way and that.
"Come my king, you have had a nasty fall."
Ragnold takes the corpse by the arm, and then leads the shambling body through the left rear door of the room. The invitees give up a cheer as they see the king walk out.
The chief steward then tells the orchastra to play a waltz, and soon the room is filled with dancing again.
"Now," says Caplon, "How do you good people intend to start this investigation?"
