I think I could point out some instances where this is definitely not the case...Mooseman said:Nope. I said that the special effects were good.... thus something was good about it. But not enough to pay money for.
Now that was a good movie. I hope they make another one.Nightstalkers said:Okay, howabout Firefly?
Tom Bombadil is quite possibly the greatest abomination of a character I've ever encountered. I'm suprised to see that anyone missed him.BigBlue said:From the books, the things I missed most were Tom Bombadil and the burning of the Shire.
abomination? Could you elaborate?Oversoul said:Tom Bombadil is quite possibly the greatest abomination of a character I've ever encountered. I'm suprised to see that anyone missed him.
That point was made in other parts of the books as well. And really, the whole section of the book with Tom Bombadil seemed completely insignificant to me. He's a mysterious, and apparently superpowerful entity that does essentially nothing but talk to the main characters for a while. I got nothing out of it.Mooseman said:abomination? I thought his character was a good way to show the hobbits that the destruction of the ring was their duty and couldn't be given to any others.
