Si'Nat chugs a Healing Potion and feels MUCH better.

Round 8 - Creatures get initiative.

Once again, Si'Nat's armor and swift moves allow him to avoid any hits.

Si'Nat grabs Bertrem's enchanted mace and swings at the first one, bringing it down with a powerful blow on the head.

Round 9 - Party gets initiative.

Si'Nat attacks the last creature but misses.

The creature fails to hit Si'Nat.

Round 10 - Party gets initiative.

Si'Nat barely misses and is barely hit in return.

Round 11 - Creature gets initiative.

Si'Nat deftly dodges the creature but also fails to connect.

Round 12 - Creature gets initiative.

The creature swipes Si'Nat for a little damage but Si'Nat brings it down in reply.

Whew!

(Time for some scroll power... then after healing up a bit...)

"Well now - I'll keep watch in case anything else comes around, until you guys get past your paralysis..."

(will hand bertrem the mace back once he's better...)

(Will offer to scroll anyone needing serious healing...)

"Not a bad mace at all, I'm sure I could have fell them sooner had it been something I knew how to use better... Anyone else need some healing?..."

Everyone is wounded as they've been clawed or bitten by the creatures (and some had minor wounds previous). In order of seriousness, it looks like:

Patrick (who looks like he's at death's door), Kurik (not too far behind), Cugel, Gareth, Bertrem, Rondo, and Wilhelm (the only one who looks like he has just scratches). Only Si'Nat is fully healed as he used some during combat.

"Well - here we go..."

(Cure light scrolls on each to get them as high as possible - if someone is 1-2 points away from full - will go on to the next guy... will save 2 scrolls and potion as backup for later.)

"Now - does everyone feel a little better?"

When Si'Nat is done, he manages to get through Bertrem, so Rondo is the only one who really needs healing left.

Stock of party:

Cugel, Wilhelm, Kurik, and Gareth: 2 Healing Potions
Patrick: 7 Healing Potions
Si'Nat: 2 Scrolls/Cure Light Wounds, 1 Healing Potion
Rondo: 5 Healing Potions
Bertrem: 5 Scrolls/Cure Light Wounds, 4 Healing Potions

"Now - if everyone's done taking a nap, we can proceed... (hehe)..."

Rondo downs a potion then, and if his wounds are more or less healed he's ready to move on...:)

No one goes back and reads past posts? :) Here's what I said before combat:

Upon rounding the bend, the cavern stretches away for about another 40' before ending. In a little corner at that end, a small band of humanoids (from what you can see from your vantage point and torchlight) are squatting around some debris and dirty-white objects. They look up when your torchlight illuminates the cavern, surprised.
So basically, they came from the end of the cavern which you can see by your light that there's nothing at that end anymore (except the debris and dirty-white objects)

(hmmm... maybe search the cavern before leaving...)

"Well - I'll at least see what's over here..."

(begins checking around the edges of the cavern, looking for any hollowings or rocks covering items.)

Ah. I thought, just from them taking a bit of time to reach us, that we wouldn't be able to see what was really over there from where we were standing...

You can't, really. You can just make out that it's the end with the debris and objects. But you can't see any more clearly than that
