  1. Oversoul The Tentacled One

We could also keep 2, 3, and 4. If either of the other dice re-rolls as a 1 or a 5, we would get a small straight. But if neither one does, we would be left with nothing...

I just want these dice to stop rolling at me.
  2. DarthFerret Evil Sith Weasel

Pete gets confused on the base 6 system as he normally uses a base 8 system, and therefor defers this round to the others.

    Day 2
    Time: 6:44pm

You are fighting a pack of Yahtzee dice.

Unable to decide a course of action, the Magical Coin of Indecision comes down from the sky and lands on heads. "You shall save the fours!" it bellows. Then it disappears.

    Round 4B
Pikachu catches a four in his net.
Pete catches a four in his net.
A die rolls toward Ward. It lands on 3, failing to hurt him.
A die rolls toward Melkor's Ghost. It lands on 5, making the ghost feel 1% more likely to disappear.
A die rolls toward McGill. It lands on 2. Whew!

    Status Updates

  5. DarthFerret Evil Sith Weasel

pete thinks this is a grand idea and does what is needed to make it happen.
  6. Melkor Active Member

And that's why you don't try for the small straight, it almost always just seems to pop up. Agreed on the course of action
  7. Spiderman CPA Man in Tights, Dopey Administrative Assistant

"Pika!' Pikachu does a small flip of joy.

Eight dice run off in bewilderment. The party can now count the number of dice remaining: 95 (someone's pretty good at counting). Looks like there's still much work to be done.

We have just attained our full house. Other than the ones, this is a high-scoring pack. I believe that we should either keep the fives and hope for three of a kind or keep the fives and the six and use up our chance...

Addendum: At this point, don't worry about the vast amounts of pain everyone's enduring from the prolonged battle. I'm dissatisfied with the arbitrary numbers I made up to determine that particular aspect of the game and plan to create a new system that scales more closely to the life loss for future battles. Unfortunately, I can't retroactively apply the numbers I plan to use and don't want to start a new system mid-battle, so everyone will continue to bleed out until the Yahtzee dice are eliminated. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  19. Oversoul The Tentacled One

I'll probably be gone for a few days. Someone else will have to take over for me. Hopefully I don't die from a die.
  20. turgy22 Nothing Special

The group pauses to contemplate the meaning of life. For some reason, this seems more pressing than catching dice at the moment.
