Ancestral Knowledge would be good with the burst-ers, but not nessesarily good with imprint or Ice Cauldron.

Ancestral Knowledge though, looks more tempting with the likes of Eon Hub...

AK isn't bad if you have a strong mana base, and can hold out for the worth-while 10 card draw...

but honestly - it's blue, so it stinks...

Balance, Enlightened Tutor, Land Tax, Seal of Cleansing, Disenchant, Swords to Plowshares, Abeyance, Orim's Chant, Ivory Mask, Moat, Replenish, Academy Rector...

Extended and beyond, white is hideously underpowered! If you're talking earlier, lets just look at those other cards in other colors.

Green has got channel, fastbond, etc.

Blue has Island, the non-artifact power nines, etc.

Red has Mana Flare, Lightning bolt, etc.

Black has Dark ritual, Necropotence, etc.

Were I to have the inclination, I'm sure that I could continue those lists.
