I think Gizmo would have been/be a good editor. Especially since he seems to travel the sites more and have an idea about what articles are supposed to be, as opposed to me with my one or two Magic sites :). All I know are curse words.... and how to chop them out.

Short answer: Don't know enough about how Portal will affect the environment if it's made legal. Long thoughts: Portal was a bad idea, as some have already pointed out. WOTC should have kept with the Starter decks and just stripped them down if they really wanted to get more basic. Huh...

But I was asking if the decks you can build right now and add a Cursed Scroll would be competitive with other decks right now. I mean, basically you pretend Cursed Scroll is available right now, build the decks, and play them against the current decks. Would they do well? Better? Worse...

But I use a figure counter thingy for life and beads for tokens (which used to be my life). I have the counters from the Fallen Empires Duelist but never got around to punching them out and using them.

I'd lean towards A, although sometimes they have stuff that appears in later sets (like the Sleeper enchantments).

Not that it really helps you (I don't think), but wasn't Dune Echo or Gizmo doing an article-type thing on Sligh/red in CPA Issues? It's been a month so maybe I'm remembering wrong... but there was something in there about Sligh.

I think it's fine since Crackdown clearly stated what he's using it for and no one's going to mistake them for the originals. It's no different than taping your CD on a tape so you can listen to it in you cassette only car...

My stance pretty much mirrors most comments made by Apollo, Gizmo, and Ura. Casual is looking for unusual ways to win/play the game, sub-par is just using BAD cards. Sometimes they intersect and sometimes the don't.
