...the title of the thread, the first thought that came to mind was: "Thank God, Arhar is leavin'...", though this is not the subject, and I am highly disappointed now! J/J :)

About the news...yes, they are great. I think it is wonderful that we have a group of ever so devouted spirits that work on the game that we have came to love and feel everyday...and night.

Magic will go on for a long time. I don't think anyone could stop it, unless there's a good reason. It's making money, and heck, PokeMon is not even that popular THAT much anymore. Magic, unlike PokeMon, has taken its time to climb the ways of eternity, while PokeMon was a single shot hype - which by the way has vanished now.

Great news! Good job Arhar! Long live the king...sorry, I meant Magic. :)

That really is good news; maybe we'll see the end of those "Magic is dying!" threads.

As long as there is Magic, there will be people who claim that it's gasping its dying breaths. :)

But anyway...I knew that was coming. I actually think that a small budget cut is a positive thing for Magic. It allows WotC to cut some of its less fruitful projects (I know I won't be sorry to see TopDeck go), and therefore focus more of its attention on the things that matter to the game players: box sets, new expansions, promotions and the like.

This is good news, not bad news. Remember that.

Where does it say that Top Deck is going away?

Although it doesn't really matter to me, they just asked if I wanted to renew... I don't think so...

Spiderman: WotC announced awhile ago that Topdeck has been cancelled, check mtgnews or the sideboard for details.

I am very glad to see Topdeck go away, but it would be much better if they brought back the duelist. The funniest thing in all of this, is that the announcement says all of Topdeck's content(content? In Topdeck? :confused: ) will be found online from now on. I think we all remember how well that worked out with the duelist:rolleyes:
