It depends on the attitude of the player more than his skills or deck. An arrogant person who's making bad plays but still wins is worse to lose to than a person who's polite or nice. People just don't like losing, period.

I'm no expert, but 22 land is already pretty good, I think. If it's necessary to have 2 lands on turn 2, I'd keep with the Tithes, since you can't activate the Land Tax (usually) if your opponent also drops a land on Turn 1. Land Tax is good for thinning your deck and perhaps getting discard...

Remember, we're going on what our favorite alliance is, not necessarily the best for the cards out there...
