Yep. I tend to bid a bit conservative normally, but it's tough to bid a hand with no control. That last hand was further complicated by the fact that just about every card could take the trick, but I had no choice of what to play. I bid 2 because I figure that worst case scenario then would be that I get set by 1. Had I bid 1 and taken 3, for example... :D

Bidding in a vacuum really adds an interesting twist. You really have to approach it with a different outlook. It's like you are the first bidder every turn but it affects everyone equally.
