Every game or hobby develops it's own cannon of slang and "shop talk". It would seem that Magic has more then it's fair share. Although I have been playing for about 4 or 5 years, I still can go to a tourament and hear some word or phrase that I hadn't heared before.
From "Mastibore" and "Risha-BAN Port" to "beats" and "slops/props", there are hundreds of slang words for Magic.
I am looking to compile Magic: The Glossary, chronicaling these words and thier meanings for the uninitiated and the uninformed. Please post your slang words and what they mean, and if you know where they came from, that would be helpful too.

'bator, Master Bator= Masticor(named so due to the "apparatus" sticking out of his mouth)

Shotgun=Aladin's Ring(very old nickname)

Toilet Paper, some toilet paper= Swords To Plowshares(because it wipes creatures out--VERY old slang term, predates even ME)

(to)Piss off= to rancor(rancor is EXTREME anger)
Pissed off=Rancor'ed

brow beat=beat up with fliers(I havn't the foggiest on the derivation, I guess it's from "over the rainbow", but I'm not sure.)

I think Starcity has some kind of Magic slang dictionary, but I don't know the exact local...

The Thump, To receive The Thump=To be pounded by a creature that seemed insignificant.
"He didn't take the opportunity to finish off my River Boa, so I triple-Rancored it and game him The Thump."

Pumping Iron=Killing a big creature who your opponent thought it was safe to attack with via a small blocker and a pump spell, also, a creature enchanted with Momentum.
"My Elf doesn't like the looks of your Plaguelord so he's gonna pump some iron and smack him around."

Bait and Switch=After a round of Show and Tell, or a Hunted Wumpas, stealing the best creature that was put into play with Gilded Drake.

Gain 40 for 4=Casting Bone Mask.

Benched Pokémon="Sleeping Creature" enchantments.

Leaping Lizards=Viashino Cutthroat, Sandstalker, and Sandscout.

Best Friend=A card that allways seems to wind up in one's opening hand. Often a result of poor shuffling or cheating.

Tag Guard

Magpied = Being dealt 20 damage in 20 turns by a magpie after your opponent locked you down with his blue. Happens a lot to me when I play my brother.

n. The act of beating your opponent with creatures. "Whoah, a Thorn Elemental AND a Morphling attack? Talk about beatdown!"

Topdeck
v. To draw precisely the card from your library that you need. "There he was, at one life, and he topdecked a Wrath of God!"

syn. Morphling.

Lawnmower Elves
syn. Llanowar Elves.

Burn
n. Any card, usually red, that inflicts damage directly to a creature or player. (ex. Lightning Bolt)
v. To target a creature or player with direct damage. "I'll burn your Elvish Piper with a Lightning Bolt."

Deck
syn. Library.
v. To defeat an opponent by running him/her out of cards in his/her library. "My Millstone deck wins by decking my opponent."

syn. Prodigal Sorceror

Roy
syn. Royal Assassin

Netdeck
n. Any deck that is so publically discussed on the Internet that the chance that any given person playing it actually thought of it is infinitessimal. "He's playing Pebbles? Stupid netdeck."

Drain
v. To cast Drain Life (or any spell that deals damage while giving the caster life) on a spell or creature. "I'll Drain you for 20, for the kill."

Bolt
syn. Lightning Bolt

Jank
adj. Very poor in quality; crap. "I got a Pale Moon in my Nemesis pack! What TOTAL jank!"

"Tapped Out"
adj. Any player who has drawn all possible mana from all available sources, and has none available.

"Power 9"
n. The following group of cards: Black Lotus, Mox Pearl, Mox Emerald, Mox Sapphire, Mox Ruby, Mox Jet, Time Walk, Time Twister, Ancestral Recall.

Scroll
v. To activate Cursed Scroll and target a creature or player. "You're at 2? I'll Scroll you for the kill."

Hmm..A lot of the ones I heard are already mentioned, so I may repeat a few. But here are some of what I hear.

Beats: The continuose loss of life due to a lock down.
"Once I Played the Tangle Wire with My negator out, I layed the beats down!"

Beating Stick: Ussually a very big creature. Most commonly with a power greater then 5. Phyrexian Negator, Ernham Djinn, Phyrexiam Collussus ect ect ect..

Superman: Morphling

Topdeck: To draw the one card that will save your ass at that particular situation.

The smack down: (see beats)

Ernie: Ernham Djinn

Bang-a-tangs, Sex Monkeys: Uktabi Orangatang

Broken : Something extremley powerful its abused
Yawgmoths Bargain, Replenish, Moxes

Pain lands: Any of the lands that produce 2 colors and deal one damage to you

City of breast: City of brass

Mox Monkey: That red monkey that you tap to destroy a artifact..I dont remeber its true name. :)

MOM: Mother of ruins

BEEF! : See beating Stick

To pump: Put your unused mana into an ability
"I pumped 5 mana into my Nakaya Shade to make him a 6/6 creature"

theorgg -- As fliers attack up high, brow-beating likely means to beat about the head and shoulders. This clever assumption comes from the word eyebrow. Eyebrows are up high on the head, so to brow-beat...

dw51688 -- There are far more bad puns available for the fire elemental (actually, the puns are the best reason to play multiple copies of her, as no one grows tired of bad puns!).

She's hot.

You know what they say about redheads... fire on top, etc. (this is a family site!).
