See, I guess they ARE play-testing some... :)

The only iffy thing about the combo is that they might get it off before you can use the Mindslayer... otherwise, hopefully you've played them before and know what the combo is and can disrupt it...

Those WotC bastards are going to make me push it to make something of my collection of Mirrodin....

Poor bastards, I have a bank account for such expenditures too.

Must be nice...

I'm learning how to use ebay to generate funds to buy cards though... and it's kind of cool!...

Email me I need to learn how to use ebay. My auctions always go for cheap.

It's in the shipping and the grouping... I'll discuss more with you if you like - PM me with a typical auction of yours and I'll see what I think about it...

I don't know about you guys, but I kinda like the flavor text on Damping Engine.

Bloodstar 8UU
Affinity for Artifacts (this spell costs 1 less to play for each artifact you control)

Flying

Bloodstar's power and toughness are both equal to the number of artifacts you control

Told ya! its this whole artifact thing going to rue the day!

Oh, on the same note as artifacts being the major blunder of the
set....

HEERRREEESS ATOG!

And oldschool Tetravus meets Pentavus...

What the bloody hell is up with this crap?

And just think - you can play this with 2 lands(and nothing else) in play...

K.20.Ruling.4 - Some older cards used the text "<cost>: <effect>" on
instants and sorceries. All cards using this format have errata to have
it instead say "As an additional cost to play this card,
pay <cost>. <effect>." The cost is paid exactly once. Not less and not
more.

You need two lands, and an artifact in play. Is that wrong?

No - that's not wrong...

but if one of the lands in play is the new artifact land - then it settles both requirements - making the mana available and have an artifact in play...;)

I knew that was the wrong ruling... Just can't seem to get this program my predecessor used to work properly.

Arifact lands? how odd.

Does that mean if your opponent plays an Artifact Land and passes the turn, you can play a red source and Detonate his land for 1 mana?

Detonate
XR
Sorcery
Destroy target artifact with converted mana cost of X. Detonate does X damage to it's controller.

That's nasty.:D

Yes it does...

Just like tokens - which have a cmc of 0 - the artifact lands have a null cmc - it hasn't been ruled as 0 yet(that I know of) - but would be 0 for all intensive purposes...

Detonate, Meltdown, Shatter, disenchant, naturalize... divine offering even...

They now destroy lands...;)
