**No offense, but I can't believe all the stuff we've dealt with amounts to 50 XP per person... I guess it's been ages since I played Basic DnD... but in terms of how this would be in 3rd ed... we'd all be around halfway to second I think by now...**

"Hmm, anyone want to check out the 'slime'? If not, I say we continue South in this corridor, then go East again."

(Heh, this is probably one of the reasons why this was one of the first iterations of D&D. I have to double-check to make sure, but basically 1 HD of monster is equal to 10 XP. You've fought like 2 skeletons, 5 goblins, 10 or so of those hooded humans, the spider, the orcs, and the humans you were escorting. That's around 250 XP and since there are 7 of you, about 30+ XP each.

You actually haven't fought a whole lot. It just seems like a long time because of all the consensual decisions on what to do and that usually took a day. What BB did last Friday, that probably would have taken another week or two if I waited for everyone to say their piece. But he went ahead and took charge :) )

Since no one wants to confront the slime, you head south. At the intersection you look west and see that the corridor continues for at least 30' before darkness falls. Heading east, you go 10' before you come to some more stairs heading down, at least for 30'.

(forget the white area, I messed up and when I delete, it shows white instead of black).

We turn and head West... presuming the corridor runs into the other one, we'll then head South (Unless there is a door somewhere... If there isn't a door, I 'strongly' reccomend we check for secret doors here... who'd waste that much space in a building? :) )

Indeed, the corridor does run into the other one. It also continues south for at least 30', with another passage leading east 20' south. There are no doors here though.

**Ignoring the prospect of Secret doors for now...**

Head South to the "fork"... Then, unless there are stairs to the east, head east... If there are stairs to the east we'll continue South.

Heading south to the fork, you see the corridor continues 10' south with stairs going down. So heading east you travel 30' until it ends with a door in the south wall.

**I'll wait outside w/ the torch as someone else checks out the Crates... Preferably someone who able to detect traps... Once we're confident the room is ok, I propose we rest a bit (our turns must be about up), then head South down those stairs... Barring objections**

*Sounds good...I'll help out checking out the room, looking for traps, recent stonework, secret doors, checking the ceiling, etc.*

(begins following in Rondo's footsteps to check crates and shelves that have been "cleared" of traps for anything interesting...)

Patrick examines the examiners.... :D And listens as best as he can in the hall for any signs of activity other than ours... Hopefully not by his lonesome...

Karnage simply just stands guard... grunting every few minutes in an annoyed way manner...

Si'Nat starts to explore the room and crates, Cugel just checks out the crates, while Patrick slyly inspects them and Rondo. Karnage just stands outside with Patrick, waiting impatiently.
