Karnage looks around the room to see if there is anything of value but is VERY careful to not even touch the food of drink.

Moves up to inspect the food, (not touching it) and too examine the table closer. Also going to look the statues over carefully to see if anything escaped the stoning.

Looking to see how long ago this may have happened, and if it was the food, or something else that did this.

"How strange. This food is relatively fresh. Either the food gets replaced periodically, or the whole display was created recently. Can anything make a statue that quickly? I wonder. And if not, why not just make the food out of stone as well? Then you wouldn't have to replace it every few days. Actually, building statues and setting them around a table like this seems tasteless altogether. But maybe I'm missing something..."

"Hey guys, I almost guarantee that these used to be real people, and the meal here was served with-in the past week or less. Hmmm...I wonder..."


Takes the edge of a plate of stuff that is fairly dry (cheeses, bread, something easy to bag) and places it into one of his empty side pouches. Starts looking around the room for any type of bug/animal to place on some of the food and see what happens.

"Anyone have an extra flask, see if there is any water/wine left here. Maybe we can use it as a weapon."

Are they all looking one way? As if they all saw something? (And if yes... then I won't be looking that direction... :D )

I don't think this food would be very fresh after even a few days.... how "fresh" is the food? I mean you can tell roughly.... maggots yet?

Are any of the statues holding anything? (like a fork, glass, etc?)

Bertrem: Sorry, no bugs or animals in the room right now.

Patrick: Nope, the statues aren't looking in a certain direction. It's just what a meal would be except instead of people, it's statues. Some statues are holding cups as if getting ready to drink or have already drunk, one has a knife in his hand and looks like he was carving meat, some look to be in the process of eating, etc.

Oh yeah, I thought you meant in the room you're in right now 'cause you brought him along... (which I didn't have notes on 'cause I also thought you left him). Yeah, there's that rat in that room way back near the entrance.

"YOU guys can go back and feed your pet rat, only way I am going back there is to KILL that abomination! Oh, wait, what if this food/drink really is poison that petrifies things? Alright, lets go stone that dirty rat!"

Bertrem grabs up a plate, and gets ready to head off to petrify the rat!

Turns towards the door.

"If I were you, I would leave that food here and never worry about it..."

Starts out the door.

"Calm down laddie...Tis a prudent idea to see if the food was tainted, though I suspect it was not...either way, the rat will be feelin no hunger pangs afterwards, if you take my meaning...;)"

Rondo continues to keep watch in the hallway, patiently waiting for everyone to satisfy their curiosities about the "statues", food, etc.
