I think that is SOP now (we are going to clear this level before proceeding down)...
Let's do the similar "readiness" for the next door to the North... and then proceed within.

Let's do the similar "readiness" for the next door to the North... and then proceed within.
Patrick spikes this door shut and you move 30' north to the next door. As you stop, the torch reveals tha the passage continues 10 more feet north and then the beginning of more stairs going down can be seen, but you don't know how far (ignore that white patch, apparently with this map editor I can't make a black background to "erase" stuff).

Karnage takes his sword and readies to fight as soon as the door is opened.
"I also hear voices, but I cannot understand them either," Rondo whispers to the rest of the group. "They sound to be a bit worked up though. I'm thinking we ought to leave here for now an check the rest of the level out. Fightin these things now would prolly draw attention from below, an a big fight I'm not sure we want right now. What do you lads think?"

Standard attacking procedure....mace out and ready, holy symbol in shield hand, shield buckled on and ready...
Si'Nat and Karnage pull open the door and rush through. The rest of the party hears a roar and some crashes. As you enter the room, you see Si'Nat and Karnage among a half-dozen incredibly ugly man-size and human-like creatures. Their skin is earth colored and they appear very brutish.
One creature is on his back with a bloody hole in his chest with Karnage standing over it with a bloody sword. Si'Nat is facing a couple of the other creatures who have just grabbed their weapons.
