Using the Crystal Ball, has there been much activity in the palace where we've been?

(I say we arm Duchess with a bow and have her aid in missile fire - what say the rest?)

Rondo: No, you didn't gain your level back. That's only gonna happen after I hand out XP :)

There's been some activity - groups of goblins, creatures that look like bigger goblins, the nasty dirty creatures that keep paralyzing you, and other creatures that appear to be humans but seem to have wounds that would normally kill them. They check your doors a couple of times but finding that they can't open it, just move on.

"This is getting rather hectic. We will not last forever against these monsters. I suggest we search out the most likely location of our demonic eye and eliminate it as soon as possible..."

Well, remember, you guys spent 2 days in there. The creatures came along maybe every 4-5 hours, not every hour or so...

Kurik speaks up, "So are we ready to leave and save the princess? The evil and red glow are still out there, you know, and we're not getting any younger!"

Onward...

Check the path before us... or do we want to try a different direction?

** Spidey, could you give us an updated map again? Thanks! **

My bad, I thought I posted an updated map

You already explored that door and area - it was the room with the casks. You were heading back west when you encountered the paralyzing creatures at the N-E-W intersection and then decided to heal up.

So whatcha want to do? :)

Instead of where the "P" is, I guess we'll go to where there is the "crossroads" north of there, and take the eastern hallway.

You reach the two doors without incident. Standard checks reveal no traps and no sounds behind the doors.

Opening them , you see a large dining hall panelled with wood. So large, that your torches can't see the end of the hall to the north. Wooden bracing beams run from floor to ceiling along all walls and crossbeams run from the bracing beams, supporting the wooden ceiling. A large U-shaped wooden table dominates the center of the room. Stuffed animal heads, obviously hunting trophies, hang on the walls. A door is in the eastern wall 20' from the south wall.

There doesn't appear to be anything on the table but you can't tell from the doorway - it's at the very end of your torchlight and half of the table is at the edge and the other half is past the torch's light.
