D&D: Horror on the Hill - Falling Down a Trapdoor

Rondo attacks the nearest rat with his axe...

Try to get in melee with my mace.

 

[Spiderman]

Everyone joins in the melee, Kurik and Gareth included. Well, except for Wilhelm, who runs off back down the corridor.

Cugel swings but these rats are surprisingly fast and dodges.
Rondo's axe slices the air.
Bertrem's mace bashes one to a pulp.
Kurik chops one in half.
Gareth just barely misses with his hammer.

Round 2: Party gets initiative.

Cugel swings wildly and misses.
The last rat nimbly dodges Bertrem's and Kurik's blows, but runs right into Gareth's hammer with a fatal <thud>

 

[Oversoul]

"It seems that the fiends inflicted damage on me. Perhaps Wilhelm can heal me when he returns..."

 

[Spiderman]

The party waits breathlessly to see if Wilhelm returns, while eyeing the dead bodies.

 

[Spiderman]

After a turn, Wilhelm doesn't appear.

 

[DarthFerret]

Um, think we should go look for him?

Rondo hands Cugel a healing potion if he has one handy...

 

[Spiderman]

Do you guys need updated char sheets? And will keep track of your stuff?

As Rondo rummages through his backpack for the healing potion, Cugel laughs sheepishly as he pulls out two healing potions of his own...

The updated sheet would be handy, and I can then keep track of stuff. Also, my internet is going to be a bit sketchy for a couple of weeks. We are moving in with the in-laws for a couple of months while our house is being built. They have internet, but we are shutting ours off soon. By the beginning of Feb (or close to it) we should be moved in with them and stable until the house is done.

Yeah, same here.

"Yes, we should come to Wilhelm's aid if we can ascertain his location. This is no place to be hysterically running around by oneself."

Updated char sheets have been sent to everyone except BigBlue since he hasn't been on for a while...

Kurik takes the lead and the party moves back down the passage to find Wilhelm. They don't have to go far, maybe 40-50 feet, where they find his crumpled body at the base of the wall.

 

[Oversoul]

*Cugel will check for signs of traps, then examine Wilhelm.*

 

[DarthFerret]

*will start checking the surrounding area to try and see what caused this (or if he just panicked and slammed into the wall)

 

[Spiderman]

Cugel doesn't find any traps and upon examining Wilhelm, sees a huge bruise on his head.

Bertrem correctly surmises that Wilhelm just slammed into the wall once he was out of the light and couldn't see where he was going.

Wilhelm groggily starts coming around...

"You really should not run off like that."
