I guess I should kinda jump in here.

Don't really listen to much music when playing magic.

But for my fav band: I guess I have to go with the Smashing Pumpkins. They're newest album is really diverse, and Jimmy (the drummer) who got fired before is back. Noticable difference.

Overall, I guess I'm into alternative/hard rock/industrial (I guess).

And recently (well, 7 or 8 months) I've been getting into Incubus.Gotta love 'Pardon Me'. :)

DMB is great. They've released crush (which I don't think is their best) recently. They've just released a new single who's name I can't recall. Their singles aren't the best part though, the best part is the entier album is good in general (there are always exceptions) It's nice when you look around at people who release albums with one hit and only one good song

OK, what was the first single DMB released (or their first "hit")?

I remember 45's, I have a couple... "We Built This City" and "Centerfold", I think.

I must say that the best band ever is blink 182. Its the only cd that i can honestly say has NO bad songs.

I engoy OUR LADY PEACE and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS mostly. I like listing to korn and limp bizkit while playing magic, puts an edge to it :).

Chaos turtle, I dont like napster at all. It gave me this virus that replaced everything on my comp. with porn. Then it deleted windows. Rebooting it hasnt gotten rid of it even. Just a warning....

There is always a risk, no matter what you download from, that you're not getting what you think you're getting. I haven't heard anything about that though; you sure you just didn't get drunk and go crazy at the dirty pix sites? ;) (kidding...)

It deleted Windows, huh? I dunno... but anyhow that was probably a favor.

As someone who has spent almost a month trying to install debian on a f^^^ing computer I have to say that if there was a virus that would install linux on your computer, I'd BUY it!

I must be getting old. I only recognized 3 of the band names Spiff listed, and I think everyone's heard of U2. What kind of music do the rest of those people play?

For the most part, TomB, they make what is commonly referred to as "techno" and "industrial" music, though many define their own styles.

Primus, for example, does not really fit into a category.
