I'm pretty sure phasing it out will cause it to keep the counters, but removing from game might not. In that case, I could do some hokey things with those spells (like Faceless Butcher it or something). If it works, that's another thought...

Good read, but a question... I was under the impression that online games like Everquest, you pay monthly. Is that false? The article gives the impression it's a one time fee (I guess buying the program).

I think it depends on what enchantments there will be. Rancor would have been one of the best candidates, but I doubt it'll be back :)
