Booooooo! :)

I just got this game last weekend and though it's an oldie, it's a goodie! It's just my type of a war/strategy game: turn-based and easy to learn. It's also pretty funny :) I just finished the tutorial missions and started the campaign, so I'm not too far into it, but what I've played so far...

The thing about accelerators is that they speed up your deck and allow you to do things faster than your opponent. It's all about breaking the one land/one mana per turn. And if you pair that with card-drawing to offset the "temporary" disadvantage that the non-permanent accelerators give you...

I agree that the idea has been around, but it's probably in this set that it has a coherent ideas focused on it instead of haphazardly sticking the occasional artifact with the ability in the set. As a casual player, I certainly don't have problems with it. Like Rooser said, morph was...

Maybe we need to see the whole set to see and judge better... one card preview is just that, a one card preview :)

Right, I think that was it. But the point is that the CPA has not banned anyone willy-nilly, like personal dislike over someone. That person has to actively do something that is "bad".

I believe Riva was banned for cheating others in the Trading Forum. Either that or he continually cursed despite being asked not to. So far none of that has applied here...

Az and I have made the pre-releases, we just haven't found each other yet :) Since we have only a rough idea of who to look for (at least on my end). Plus, usually I leave right after my side event, although I can probably stay a wee longer if we play an MP game.

I don't know the difference either in terms of WOTC and not sure if it's been mentioned before... I actually think design is separate from playtesting, as in during the design part, the set is actually being thought out and ideas brainstormed and discarded, whereas in the playtesting, the cards...

It's probably here to stay... they've developed a lot of cards for tribes already, plus casual players seem to like them a lot :)

Not sure how it works out, but the teams probably ebb and flow with differen members from different areas at various expansions... like Mark Rosewater said, he's been there 8 years and has only been on three design teams (I think - either that or lead designer).

Did Yu-Gi-Oh copy Netrunner then? :p
