I've got one, I was actually thinking of putting it into the deck but at the time, I was under a rush to get it put together in the first place so I just went with the old decklist. In fact, I still couldn't find a Vindicate (although I never drew one in both games, go figure).

Not really. The red haste deck plays burn though. They'd usually have one guy play the threat and wait until I deal with it, then another guy put out a threat, etc. - take turns so my mass removal is basically overcosted single removal. It's effectively three on one.

Never heard of most of those winning tournaments, except Cad-Bloom. Is there a place that holds the winning decks from past tournaments (Pro-Tour, States, Worlds)?

I'll take a chance with the Tar Pit Warrior and the Merfolk Raiders.

Yeah, but they were also part of Tempest (with Scragnoth). I don't recall blue dominating before Tempest. If anything, there was Black with Necro in '95 and maybe Sligh sometime around then.

Is there an objective reason (not personal) why blue countermagic would need to be "nerfed" up until Scragnoth? Did it dominate tournament play, for instance?
