    Voting Booth

I'm sorry. I guess what I meant was, the link doesn't seem to work from the Main page. I thought that meant it wasn't working yet. I think we should update it with some topical questions and hold some votes. I think that this should, logically, be our next step. As for what, exactly, those...

    Voting Booth

Mike, any chance of setting up the voting booth again? TomB CPA Member

    ICQ List and Chat Room

Cool. Thanks, Chuck! :D The Chatroom is a great idea. ICQ is too. I like ICQ because I can log into it and then go ahead and do other stuff. If someone sends me a message while I'm on it lets me know, so I can respond, without making me watch it continuously, and you can post messages to be...

    Substitute for Cursed Scroll?

Or Megrim. And if you've got some Sengir Autocrats or Breeding Pits you could throw in a couple of Fodder Cannons. They'll get around any COP's you run into! TomB CPA Member

    Is Blue, Casual Friendly?

I think Gumby Khan hit the nail on the head, for the most part, though it does depend on the deck. Blue in multi-player has some good but not game breaking cards (like Timetwister), and counterspells are next to useless in that type of game. Blue should not be played in casual duels unless...

    Why fear change?

Spiderman, You're right, I should re-phrase my statement. I should have said "our coherent dissenting opinions." My mistake. Mike brings up an interesting point. I'm surprised/not surprised the Main page only gets 30 hits a day, though I doubt it's due to attitude problems. I think it's...

    Don't go away mad!

Why not just use the posts in the "What should 7th have?" thread? Have everyone post their opinion there, then forward the results on to the brass at WotC. What do you think? TomB CPA Member

    Why fear change?

Peter Adkison's E-mail address is mavra@wizards.com I think Elaine's last name is spelled Ferrao. At least, that's how I remember it being spelled on that other forum. TomB CPA Member

    Extended Rogue deck

You might want to consider switching in Pine Barrens for 4 of the Swamps so you're green mana's a little more reliable. Either that, or maybe use Wills instead of the Land Grants so you can re-use the Dark Rits. Otherwise, it does look like an interesting deck. TomB CPA Member

    The Baron's latest article

Hey, what did you guys think about the Baron's latest article? I thought he was right on target with most of it, especially about the "gateway to gaming" part. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who can see the POSITIVES in Pokemon! :D I do disagree with him on the casual player part...

    Why fear change?

Dune Echo, It seems to me that the inactivity on that other forum is a direct result of our migration here. Without us, and our dissenting opinions, they've nothing left to talk about. You're right, Chuck, that the time for negativity is past. We've a golden opportunity right now to...

    Fess up!

I'm with Chuck (though I'm not too sure about The Magic Jackal, I mean, he not only wins the tourneys he plays in but he supplements his income that way too! :D ). Tournament play is a great way to test your skill, and hanging around at tourneys is a good way to "pick up a game" and meet new...

    Why fear change?

Gentlemen, Please do not misunderstand me. I'm not trying to destroy this game. I love this game. I'm trying to preserve it, and if I sometimes seem a bit overzealous I apologize. Chuck, I did support my local stores. I bought all my cards there, traded with people fairly, and I always had a...

    Kird ape and land destruction

Rogue Skycaptain might be a good add-on too. You'll have the mana to pay his upkeep, and (theorhetically) your opponent won't. Maybe toss in a Jokulhaups too, or a Disk, in case things get out of control. TomB CPA Member

What do we want to do?

I think we should set the voting booth back up. Let's set some questions up to guage the feelings of the group on things like 7th ed., for example. Maybe some specifics, like the Gold card question currently in the Voting forum, and perhaps some of the rules we might like to see changed too. I...

    Why fear change?

Chuck- First of all, I would like to say thank you for your kind offer to host our site, et,al. I cannot tell you just how much I appreciate it. Which is why I really have absolutely no desire to argue with you about this. I do feel compelled, however, to clarify my position concerning the...

    Why fear change?

I agree, oh Magic one, that change is good, that evolution is important, and that to not change is to accept stagnation. But there's a difference between change, and RADICAL change, especially when you're considering a successful product. If sales are down, and you can't seem to move any...

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...

The best of times...The worst of times... The best had to be the 2nd game of the quarterfinal match of an extended tourney in a local store about 2 years ago. I was playing an extended version of the Pony Deck posted in the decks section, and my opponent (who I had swept in the Swiss but who...

    Isn't this the decks section?

I agree, K1. I usually don't use more than 2, and sometimes THAT's 1 too many. But it depends on the deck. One of those Squee thingies really needs 4, because the whole thing doesn't work nearly as well without him. Same thing goes for a Karn setup, with big artifacts. That this one uses 2 of...

Official Post of the new Millenium

Oh, absolutely, ferret. It seems to me we've an excellent opportunity to regain all that momentum we lost when the nameless one left us hanging. And my call to arms really didn't include you. Financially speaking, (and in many other ways as well) as far as I'm concerned, you've already...
