Sounds like they were thinking ahead and put the features in there but have them turned off while they get the Standard stuff ready. Then they can move on to the other formats and since it's already there in the interface, they don't have to redesign it :)

I was thinking about this more in terms of MP, especially for my group. Even though it is vanilla, it's still 7/7 which is beefy for them. Plus, one of the guys like to play Feldon's Cane and drag out games, so Gaea's Blessing would be to my benefit there by keeping up with him :)

Most obvious way I can think of to get around the "drawback" is use Gaea's Blessing. Thus we have a U/G deck, which also provides that green card that gives blanket trample to everyone. Good idea? Obvious idea and I'm late with it? Other complementing ideas?

I agree with this and I think the only reason this has been brought up again is because of his "lying" which people have taken offense, somehow. I don't think there has been any new trade info going on, so I think raising the issue "this late" is a bit useless.
