    RPG...Chapter 4

** Beats me. I am willing to check out the council chamber while others check out the boat. If no one says anything otherwise in a day, I say that's what I do (bringing Halycon along, of course). **

    Dealing with Iridescent Angel

Ditto... Well, I'm thinking of a black/blue or black/green deck mainly to go anti-threshold (from my thread a couple of weeks ago) so going artifacts would probably be the best for me. The Irisdescent Angel just happens to be in the threshold deck I'm going against.

    Dealing with Iridescent Angel

Maze of Ith is an okay "stalling" card. The Monastery won't help (I believe) because it becomes a G/W creature. yeah, this casual. Chamber, Sandstone, Innocent Blood and Mutilate don't ring a bell so I don't think I have them, but I'll check. Nev's Disk is good, I don't know why I didn't...

    Dealing with Iridescent Angel

I meant when it was already out (otherwise you could include countering with land destruction, unless you were thinking of a different tack). For some reason I didn't think of artifact kill though. That opens up some more possibilities... thanks.

    Werewolf: Day One

I thought my horse looked kinda "cheery" some mornings, if you get my drift..... :D What about that Gerode? Maybe he's being silent to avoid drawing attention to himself... :)

    Simple Idea

I don't think the Warlord sucks too bad; I used it back in Revised days. It's not too good in a tourney setting as there were better 4 cc creatures and red didn't have a lot of quick ways of making lots of creatures (now, using it as the "general" of a goblin army and using Goblin Warrens might...

    Dealing with Iridescent Angel

Is there any way of getting rid of it besides Wrath of God or Jokulhaups? And the very unlikely Diabolic Edict?

Most powerful creatures in Type II

    Iridescent Angel, for sure.

    settled Dispute

Well, since the caster would be probably be on the losing side of life, it would be a reset for him. If his opponent is already ahead in life, this could set him back :)

    Any MTGO players?

My feeling is that because you were the first to have "decent" articles (in his view) in a while, he thought you had potential but since you've decided to stay with us, you've lost it. :)

How do you vote for these 8th ed. cards?

I'm not sure if you're answering the question, Isty... it looks like a combination of whether the cards are in flavor, whether they'll be good for decks in general, whether yo'd like to play it... is that so? There isn't a consistent way in how you're voting for these cards?

    RPG...Chapter 4

"Would it be wise to split our group and have some check out the council chamber as the "room with many doors"? If not, I'm willing to go along to the docks..."

    settled Dispute

I agree with Jigglypuff's remarks, although perhaps the life thing is intentional with negatives, punishing a player if he has more than 20 life but wants to cast the spell. But if not, the "each player's life is set to 20" is good enough.

    Simple Idea

I think it's too cheap, especially with green's ability to make lots of tokens (Saprolings, squirrels) AND with the untargetable ability. Keldon Warlord is RR2 for just the "grow" ability (although I can't remember it's initial p/t). But of course, I have no suggestions on how to "make it...

How do you vote for these 8th ed. cards?

I'm just curious... how do you guys vote for these cards? Is it by whether the candidates are "suitable" or in flavor for a basic set? Whether you like the cards in YOUR deck? Whether you hate seeing them on the opposite side of the table? Other? I tend to go with if I'll find the card...

    Did Maro bust mtg.com?

You sure it's not your connection, Apollo? Two sites that seem open to others seems awfully suspicious...

    What if: Magic, the Movie

I would hope the plot would be a new one and not a familiar one or one using familiar characters. Then (hopefully) the majority would not have pre-set notions on how the characters should be.

    Any MTGO players?

Maybe that means he took CPASpiderman or variations thereof (Spiderman is too common). So be warned, I am not on Magic: Online!

Beyond Balderdash: Question 8: LAST QUESTION!

The category is Date. What happened on March 16, 1926? Initial guesses are due Thursday, 7/25, but if possible, I'd like to get them in on Wednesday so we can wrap up the game. I'm going on vacation next week and that's probably a good finishing point. Otherwise, you guys will have to wait...
