    RG beats

Nah, the Wheel is there to refill his hand after he empties it (which he is likely to do, given the general cheapness of his spells). Besides, you'd need 4 Black Vises to make the chances of getting them more effective.

    That's right, I've kicked the habit(almost): Magic

Well, I agree with both views here and Apollo summed it up best: it depends on the person. You could miss it while you're doing "better" (I prefer "other") things, you could miss it when your things start to slow down, you may not miss it at all, period. As long as you're keeping some cards...

    Rizzo bashed CPA?

I didn't even know (or maybe I did, but don't remember) that Rizzo left Magic - maybe that's why I don't recall this.

    More annoying letters!

Actually, I think printing Magic cards "semi-laminated" like the way some playing cards are would be good. They'd be more flexible and may protect a bit more against the casual drop from your drink (not a full submersion though).

    The art of War

I believe that includes bluffing and drawing and leading and does apply to single player duels. Maybe things have changed and I don't know how it is now, but I remember reading a couple tourney reports where someone won because they calculated what they thought their opponent had in their hand...

Where can I find good CPAs to Hire?

It did, it did. We probably get hit a lot but I suppose the front page stuff usually tells them what's going on. Maybe this guy just went straight for the forums or something...

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I have to say it early since I won't be here until Monday after today :)

    The art of War

Depending on what your own deck is supposed to be doing, in general I think blindly casting your spells just because you can against a counterspell deck is bad playing. Obviously if you're playing a fast WW/Sligh/Stompy whatever deck, you probably should be doing that because you need to kill...

Selling lots of good stuff at reasonable prices; come check it out!

It looks like Inquest doesn't list them. All it says is check out complete listings and prices at wizardworld.com, which so far isn't working for me.

Selling lots of good stuff at reasonable prices; come check it out!

It's too bad we don't know the names or sources of the stores of how the mags gather their prices - like I said, I think they're the average (I actually don't get them all that often) so somewhere, someone's selling higher and some other place is selling lower. When you buy from eBay, is the...

    Rizzo bashed CPA?

I don't see where Rizzo dumps on the CPA in that link. I see where orgg is mentioned as a deck contributer to Alongi's contest though... Rizzo posted here a couple times last year? in fact... nothing really bad to say either.

    Old sKool combos

You probably didn't start off the thread right by posting the Channel-Fireball if that's what you wanted. Once you did that, people probably just thought "old school known combos" and went with that, not creative not-widely-known old school combos :)

    The art of War

Revered Love: That's what I'm talking about, the blue player has "bluffed" you into holding onto whatever real threat you have until you have a decoy threat to put out. If you don't have the threat hanging over you, you'd be casting spells right when you draw them (if they fit your game plan...

    looking for a card

Nightstalkers: My deck was more based on using small, efficient creatures and Winter Orb and Armageddon along with Manabarbs to control my opponent's mana. I usually didn't really have 6 mana saved for the Armor :)

    looking for a card

Manabarbs affects you too. It's not really worth it with what you have in mind; I only suggested it in case it was okay for you to lose life :)

    looking for a card

It's okay for you to lose life? 'Cause Blanket of Night and Karma will cause you to lose life on your upkeep, which is what SeFRo was talking about earlier. You could go red and use Manabarbs :)
