    Blue is bad in multiplayer

I guess most of these decks were for dueling, huh? The two groups that I play with aren't of the blue counter magic persuasion, but I am. Although I'm hard pressed to play blue in a big MP game I have played 'control' decks mostly. :D. Here's a list of the decks I've played in multiplayer since...

Does anyone even buy the basic sets anymore

I like drafting "Core Sets". They're well balanced and there aren't that many 'bombs' in the set. There is ONE thing that bothers me about 'core sets', when they reprint a card from an expansion set, they shouldn't choose a card that represents a block-theme and/or mechanic from it like Rewind...

Does anyone even buy the basic sets anymore

Why do white borders bother you? Maybe you should present an idea to a card sleeve company like pro-??? and tell them to make sleeves that have a black border on the front clear part of the sleeve. Maybe. :(

    Blue is bad in multiplayer

In my once-a-month group (MML) there are just too many players (7+ most of the time) to play a counter magic based deck, notice I didn't say 'control'. I almost always play 'control' decks in the MML. :D But, in my group of friends where we often play in two to three groups of 3 or 4 (There's...

Does anyone even buy the basic sets anymore

I buy at least one box of a core set just to have access to basic cards like Shock, Mana Leak, Dark Banishing, Holy Day, Grizzly Bear, etc... I also buy the core set "Pre-Cons". I'm a sucker that way

    definition of casual

So here's a huge blanketed statement: Casual magic game play is the absence of an organized DCI sanctioned tournament. :p

    The Multiplayer Magic League

If I had not been so excited about our new virtual "Serum Visions Effect" I would've remembered that the effect is a "MAY" not a "Have to". I would've put the beatdown on the guy who DID win within two more turns

    The Multiplayer Magic League

Things went well this past Saturday. I've written an article about the event and Spidey should be posting it on the front page sometime this week. The quick of it is that I came in second out of seven with a Green/White Control deck that had E-Dragons and Wrath of Gods. The reason I lost was...

    Daunting Defender

I thought the Starlit Sanctums were for that "Life Gaining" cleric deck. This deck looks to be different and doesn't seem to support the life gain concept. With THAT said, I'd put in on or two just for a smidgit of life gain.

Astral Slide Deck, inspired by Jolrael

Card type: Enchantment Casting cost: 1GW Card text: Whenever a creature comes into play under your control, you may destroy target artifact or enchantment. Flavor text: Gaea forged her soldiers into self-wielding weapons that struck down all impurities. If you can fit two of these Gems in...
