I don't hate it... I would change the card drawing around some and add a bit of countermagic (Force of Will especially, and Counterspell probably). I would go with multiple copies of Stroke and probably Braingeyser. I would definitely eliminate Prosperity, as it is dangerous...

This looks a lot like "Fiends" decks I've seen. I should try to find a decklist... Duress was a very good card in them, and then there's Vindicate...

I've used similar decks in the past. I generally use a full set of Labs and more countermagic.

It's expensive, but Bloodshot Cyclops would be awesome here...

Why would a deck want to withstand it. They will try to kill you first or stop you from being able to do it. That's what I meant by vulnerable. Obviously it has offensive capabilities. That's not being questioned...

I don't think it's even close. Casual players don't buy many cards as they are not often all that serious about tuning their decks. Some probably spend no money at all on the game...
