I think replacing a vanilla 1/1 creature with a 2/2 that also gets you a draw for U1 is plenty strong, IMHO. Especially since you're also playing you're 2/2 for half it's normal mana cost, at the expense of a bought and paid for creature you can replay as normal. I wonder if there will be more...

2 clerics, eh? Ummm...I think I'll switch over to dwarf, if that's the case, and spare you the NPC complication. Clerical backup is nice, but I really think we could use a bit more beef here, and, as I said, I really have no specific preferences (though I'd rather not be a hobbit...;) )

I'm sure we're not ready to start yet...lol For when we do though, please make sure you disable your sigs. The threads get really long as it is, and with sigs they'd get absolutely HUGE...:eek:

And to think, I was worried about taking the 2 tricks this round for a minute there...:( <groan> At least I KNOW someone else is getting set too now...:eek: I'll lead the 5 of Diamonds this time.

But I've pretty much played them all, so it's no real problem for me either way...;)

Though I'll wait to pick my race/class until after seeing how the rest of the group shapes up. It makes playing it a bit easier if the group has some balance between magic and beef, and life without a thief in the group to detect/remove traps is usually a short life indeed...;) Any ideas on...

And the "better to burn out than to fade away" thing is from a Neil Young song...And it being better is only an opinion OS...;)

oh...:o I figured if I won this week and we were tied the tiebreaker would be in head-to-head. Then, our records against one another would take precedence, and we are currently 1-1...oh well. And yes, it's been a horrible year for me, and you ARE in first place Ransac...congratulations! :D

And this week's game between me and him is for the last playoff spot, I think. Interesting...:cool:

And I have a couple of decks that use Frantic Search, but not as part of a combo or anything. Hell, I didn't even know it had been restricted/banned. I'm so out of touch...:o

Darth, please do not start new threads here in the Classic Questions forum. This place was created for us to keep all the old threads with questions already asked, like Favorite Artist for example. There's at least 3 threads in here, including this one, that already have a bunch of our responses...

train's play was interesting, but seeing as how he had the Ace of Clubs still in hand I figure he was just trying to see which one would fly. Turns out neither one did...I wonder if he has a backup plan for this one...:eek:

Personal favorites... The Belgariad/Mallorean series by David Eddings. His other stuff isn't bad either, but these are better. The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan - especially the first 6 books. After that it slows down quite a bit. Anything by Roger Zelazny - especially the 1st Amber...

And Ransac/train...the Bears will win! :p
