Couple of Pitch rules I forgot...

If bidding goes around and everyone else has passed, then the dealer MUST make a bid. A hand may not "pass out" as in Bridge.

Some people also play with the off-Three, for a 13 point game, but me and my family have always prefered just to play 10 points.

Oh, and trash talking is a must, as long as no information about your hand is given to any other players. Doing so calls for a mis-deal.

You should hear some of the lame "indicators" people will use while bidding in 4-Man..."I'll bid 5. Did I tell you I did some work in the garden today?" This would indicate that the bidder wanted to play in Spades. Get it? Huh? Needless to say, no one I play Pitch with falls for this sort of shinanagin.
