Okay.. I tried not to say anything, but ...

I understand that not everybody enjoys playing 'silly' decks like mine, but why would you put a powercard like Necropotence in your deck?

In the previous game, you played a Mind over Matter, which caused some discussion because it isn't legal in the format. This time you choose to play Necropotence, only legal in Two-Headed Giant and Ice Age Block. Its restricted in Vintage.. this does not tell you its not the kind of card you bring to a Highlander Tribal game? Do you think that when (if) Ice Age is released online, it won't be banned immediately?

Anyway, just wanted to let you know why I attacked you and will probably continue to do so as long as I am in the game.

Well, I think that Oversoul can put it in his deck since it is highlander, but I also agree with Limited that playing a "power card" kinda makes him a target right away.

I think it's interesting/funny/amusing that two of us didn't take advantage of using the original trio of banned tribes even though we could have while the rest seem to have jumped all over them :)

Clerics (though there are a lot) is not one of the big three (Zombies, Elves, Goblins) so DF is in our camp ;)

I have never actually built a cleric deck before this. I have always wanted to, but my card stock in clerics is pretty small. My main colors are blue and green, and I am still looking for a good creature combo that matches those colors. I would say that of me entire card stock, white is in the minority. That being said, I have seen so many elf and zombie and goblin decks that I could never bring myself to make one.

Mind over Matter is legal in Vintage. Necropotence is legal in Vintage. These games have been using the Vintage banned/restricted list. Until that changes, I'll use good (sometimes this means restricted) cards when they're available, because I'm trying to have a shot at actually winning. Not that it's particularly worked out for me (although this time being beaten down now will be a welcome change, as it would just mean I'd be getting overpowered by flyers, rather than getting crap draws for several turns on end, like the last three games), but that is why I'd use a power card like Necropotence.

Actually, we are using the Tribal Wars Classic list. We are using that, because the banned list for it is different from other formats (cards like Engineered Plague don't need to be banned in other formats) but the list also includes overpowered cards (Skullclamp, Jitte) in order to balance the format.

I also posted the fact that we use the Tribal Wars Classic list during our previous discussion about Mind Over Matter. Then a discussion arose if Mind over Matter would even be banned for the format when Exodus is released; we indeed have no way of knowing that. But you really can't use the same argument for Necropotence.

No one mentioned this when we started the first game, and the only changes since then have been the eventual "no tribes that have previously been played" rule and now the highlander rule instead. I don't even know what tribal wars classic is, so it would be sort of hard for me to build a deck for it.
