Sliver Card set

    I myself love slivers, so lets make a set about them! I want to make a 350 card set, reprinting all the originals, but then adding cool stuff that we like. Hopefully we can make an app patch.

    And i also wanna make the mechanic for this set artifice, my own creation. Check it:

    Destory target land
    Artifice: 5 (You may pay 5 instead of this spells normal casting cost to put it into play)

    All slivers cannot attack or block
    Artifice: 3UU or 3RR

    Strike Back WW
    Enchantment
    All non-sliver cretures get +1+1

    Hey, I like that Artifice mechanic. I think that it works well with the whole sliver concept, and it would be useful with other cards, also. I wonder if Artifice is the word that best describes this ability, though?

    As for that Diamond Sliver, I think it's going to have to cost something, because Lotus Petal costs 0 and has the same ability, and they banned it. Diamond Sliver even gives you a creature along with the Lotus ability. Plus, it doesn't seem to fit in with the sliver theme (it doesn't give all slivers the same ability, and if it did, the card would be way too unbalanced). As a matter of fact, it seems like quite a few of your slivers don't seem to follow the sliver mechanic, which focuses on sharing abilities with all slivers. I would concentrate more on the sharing aspect of slivers in a sliver-themed set.

    A couple of minor (and probably unbalanced) suggestions:

    Or (Now look what you've done to me! I'm addicted!) ;) :

    Seeker: If this is going to be a big set, theres only SO many abilities we can bring to the slivers. I wanted to make the slivers fun and realy interesting, so i tried to branch of from the origianlk idea. Anyway...

    Jaws: I like the cards, but im trying to make the cards more fun. Like:

    -I LOVE this card...and seeker, you got a point, some cards just shouldnt be slivers if they dont have very many slivre abilities.

    I've got a few ideas of my own.

    Rain of Slivers

    Sorcery
    Put 5 Sliver Tokens in play. Treat these as 1/1 Sliver creatures with haste. Destroy them at the beginning of your next upkeep.

    Sliver rains are quite common in Sliv. They are also extremely deadly. Fortunately, they don't last long.

    Enhance
    1WWWW
    Enchant Creature
    Target Sliver gets +2/+4, first strike, and protection from artifacts.

    "These spells seem to give the super-slivers their enhanced abilities."
    -Sanct artificer
    Queen's Presence
    5GGGGG
    Instant
    All slivers gain +7/+7 and trample.

    Super-Sliver
    3B
    Creature-Sliver
    4/4
    All other Super-Slivers get +2/+2.

    Sanct Soldier: interesting, i see a cycle of cretures that have protection or effect slivers in other ways.

    Rain of slivers; cool, i like it alot. Explain the flavor text.

    Sanct Cannon is OK. Explain the super sliver thing.


    Jaws:
    Safety of the hive is Coat of arms revisted.

    Sliver Canyon is VERY interesting. Like a geas cradle but not as broken becuz of
    A) its dependese on slivers
    B) colorless mana

    Mystic sliver: I HATE PHASING!!!!!

    Artifestation: I LOVE this card, it destorys the point of having artifice on slivers though.

    CoP Slivers; Very good idea.

    I thought of a new ability:
    Chaos
    Whenever a creature with Chaos attacks all blockers get
    -X/+X and all attackers get +X/-X where X is the number of creatures with Chaos attacking.

    This could be a really cool block.
    FoR: The flavor text is all part of a stupid story I made up for the expansions.
    Read Sliver storyline for more details.
    Super sliver is sorta like a creature mechanic. It's just a better creature compared to a normal sliver. It has higher power/toughness and better abilities. Note: There is no way to make a sliver a super sliver.
    Also, I might change the super part. It sounds nerdy.
    Maybe something like enchanced or shock or elite might be more appropriate.
    Also, things that affect slivers, affect super slivers as well.
