Man... the turn you attacked and killed my Angel, were any of your two cards a counter? 'Cause if I could have hard-casted him that next turn, I might have been able to hold your Voice off...

None of them were counters. I just pitched my Decree of Silence and used my Force of Will. Plus, I had used absorb and Spell Snare already, which meant that my counter arsenal was low.
But, that really doesn't matter. I knew that your down monster was an Exalted Angel (what other morphs do you have?) and playing a monster face-down is counterable. If I could counter the face-up Angel, I could've countered the face-down one, too.
My hand at the time was Evacuation, and when I drew from the SOFI, I got a Rout. I liked the Evac better (since it didn't put your Genesis in the graveyard). After a while, though, I realized that you didn't have much to go off with Genesis if it was in your graveyard. I resigned to use Rout if I needed to.
My hand at the end was Evacuation, Rout, Brainstorm, Blinding Angel (which was going to be cast next turn if you didn't die from my next attack).
Good Game! I can't believe I pulled that game off with how few blue sources I had. Just goes to show how awesome Story Circle is!!!
