ACtually, here is the story of hoipa...

I come from the ukrainian part of the soviet union. Over there, there is a dance called "Holpak". Now, oftentimes while they are dancing this, they say "HOLPA" while doing a trick. For some reason, the word "hoipa" popped into my head whenever i heard somebody say "HOLPA" .\

And so, hoipa

I also think "hoipa" is said during a greek dance in which they shatter dishes but I'm not sure.
