And is that 4 cards as in 4 different cards, or 4 cards as in 4 pieces of cardboard? So do my 4 Academies mean I lose my 4 Time Spirals? I assume that`s what you mean.
And I assume not counting basic land.

Hmm - thinking Necro.
Because any good player thinks of Necro whenever he gets the chance.

I think the obvious easy thing to build
is Pandeburst, basically you can use
the same deck that was played in 1.X
just with different land.

You can probably do somthing with
Academy+Jar+Bargain etc
but quite hard to get this deck
to work right.

Yes sir, that's what I was trying to say.

Basic land are excluded from the four card limit.


I'm afraid Jar, 21 and CrabCraft still might be broken. What do you guy's think? I was hoping that
without Dual Lands, and a four card limit, that might be enough to give other decks a chance.

You know, I thought this was going to be easy but its more difficult to embellish those existing
structures than I though.(atleast for me) Everytime I think I've got a good idea that four card limit
keeps rearing its ugly head. For example I figured PandeBurst would be easy to build. I get this far:

(US)4 Duress
(AL)4 Force of Will
(UD)4 Replenish
(UL)4 Frantic Search

...than I run out of choices, after I consider non-basic land. Without Dual lands its a little more
difficult to build. Of course I'm a bad deckbuilder so my decklist probably isn't very good to begin with.

Something else that keeps coming up is, do I play with 4 of the same card from a set or do I choose
different cards that total up to 4.

1. All sets from Ice Age forward.
2. No more that 4 cards from each set
3. No banned cards.

Whereas T1 is
1. All cards. Ever. Even promos.
2. No limit on set participation
3. HUGE banned/resrticted list.

I`m not sure such a wide field helps you learn how to deckbuild either, though. It is really more of an exercise in creating broken combos which is a completely different experience to deckbuilding as I found to my cost.
