I need to cast a buried alive and a victimize by 2nd to third turn because i want to be the first person to use polar kraken, effectively, in a deck.

this is what im thinking so far

2 polar kraken
2 krosan colossus
4 buried alive (Combo piece #1)
4 victimize (Combo piece #2)
4 ornithopter
4 phyrexian walker
4 shield sphere
2 vamp/demonic tutor
2 Necro/bargain
4 dark ritual
4 lake of the dead
1 avalanche riders
1 (the flying enchantment destroyer)
1 sex monkeys

any idea's on what i can do to improve on this?

the idea is to buried alive a kraken, a colossus, and whatever else looks like fun, then Victimize (sac a critter, put 2 from the grave into play, tapped) a 0cc critter to get the kill (kraken and colossus) or get the fun cards if needed (land D, enchantment D, Artifact D).

i want to speed it up, without the use of a mox.

any ideas?

this is gunna be a tournament deck by the way.

the tournament environment:

there is no real metagame. EVERY deck is rogue.
there is no power whatsoever. this includes type ALL 1 power cards (wheel of fortune is rare, no p9, no abyss, ect)
there are a couple vagina 's who play counterspell. Not control, counterspell. im talking the 4 of every counterspell besides mana drain...literally. its like 20 lands, 36 counterspells, and 4 rootwater thieves)
the normal top 3 decks are always one of these:
in no order

-whatever deck i decide to play
-sligh
-white weenie
-false cure (don't laugh, the deck is really good)
-land destruction (old school black LD)
-elves (with tradewind riders, morphling, stroke, mind over matter, and blue support)

There is Cabal Ritual. To fight counters, you can use overmaster or orims chant/abeyance. Exume is good. I will think of over stuff later.

Yeah! Power Conduit is neat.

But, uh...how does it belong in this deck in any way?

Consider Ebon Strongholds and Peat Bogs for good acceleration.

Dark Ritual is always good, and if you can fill your graveyard, try Cabal Ritual.
Also, try Lotus Petal, City of Traitors, Ancient Tomb, Grim Monolith, etc.

Cumulative Upkeep
Cumulative upkeep is a triggered ability. “Cumulative upkeep [cost]” means “At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent, then sacrifice this permanent unless you pay [cost] for each age counter on it.” Note that if a permanent has more than one instance of cumulative upkeep, each creates a separate triggered ability at the beginning of upkeep that counts all the age counters on the permanent from both abilities. See rule 502.13, “Cumulative Upkeep.”

the conduit removes counters... ;)

Since you're going to have the cheap creatures anyway - Culling the week...

The way this is structured, Peat Bog is a very good choice. Culling the weak is a nice idea too, but the four mana might be a bit unweildy. Cabal Ritual would probably be better ... especially is you're running Peat Bogs!

priest of gix, culling the gix, and you still have 6 mana left...

but gix would have to be added to the deck...

Might as well use him, the peat bogs, and lake of the dead all in a nice balance...

Actually, that's spicy tuna.

Priest of Gix could have some hilarious interactions with this stuff.

Spicy Tuna sounds like a neat name for a deck to win worlds with...

I REALLY like Trains idea of Culling the Weak. Cathodion, Su-Chi...those could really spead this hog beast up.

spead=speed

and culling is a common, easily found in nickel boxes...

Culling is how I guarantee a 2nd or 3rd turn kill every game with hatred...

Well... almost every game - every now and then I have to go 4 turns...
