** Si'Nat, I just have you carrying two maces, no swords

Kurik shoulders Rondo aside. "Out of the way dwarf! I'll take care of this!" He and Si'Nat swing their swords but both miss. Cugel fires an arrow and the creature facing Kurik takes a solid hit in the chest, but again, no reaction and no blood.

Round 3 - Creatures have initiative.

Kurik is clawed and stiffens up. Si'Nat is clawed but seems unaffected.

Cugel fires an arrow but misses. Si'Nat lands a crushing blow on his foe but it still stands. Rondo steps into the breach and swings a mighty blow with his axe but misses.

Round 4 - Party has initiative.

Cugel fires and hits the one facing Rondo, finally felling it. Si'Nat and Rondo miss however.

The creatures turn and lope back the way they went, rounding the corner and disappearing in the darkness.

I think that's a good idea, you aren't the only one who's been hurt...

Do you want to try to hole up in a room here? or should we try to leave again, it's a long haul out of here, but at least we have the crystal ball to help us with recon....

Do we have enough food to rest inside?

I propose that we find the most secure room to rest up in, we will gain our normal 1-3 HP per day, plus any possible healing magic to speed things along. I personally feel fine, and this time could be used to explore things with the crystal ball as well...

But that's just my opinion. Getting out and getting back in, haven't been the best trips, and we're further in now than we were.

we'll need to barricade ourselves in nicely and stay peaceful.

I dunno, where's the safest room? preferably one with a retreat possibility? Way back where we ran into the Medusa?

Using the crystal ball to scry ahead of you, you head back to the room where you encountered the Medusa. You manage to avoid a couple groups of humanoids on the way.

You are now in the room. Can you explain your game plan again? Do you plan to rest for just one day and heal 1-3 HPs and regain spells? Do you want to rest until you're fully healed?

Fully Healed as I recall. Using the rest and any restorative spells we can.

We'll barricade the door etc...

Just to determine some things... How is Duchess taking all this? :)

** I actually forgot about Duchess :)

Duchess seems to be coming out of her shell, but is subtly ignoring you guys.

First night/next day: Cugel heals 1 pt, Si'Nat heals 2 pts, Rondo heals 3 pts, Bertrem heals 3 pts, and all spells are memorized. Bertrem uses his Cure Light Wounds on Si'Nat for an additional 4 pts. You are not bothered.

Second night/next day: Cugel heals 3 pts, Si'Nat heals 3 pts, Rondo heals 3 pts, and Bertrem heals 3 pts (holy cow, I just rolled 3 6s and 1 5!) and prays for his Cure Light Wounds again. Everyone is fully healed.

So whatcha gonna do now? :)
