"well guys - I say we head on down checking the other rooms..."

(really no sense in being here as it seems this rooms is purely informational...)

** Which doors exactly? Does anyone have Paint and can d/l the map and change the P to show where you want to go?

Okay, as noted from Post #352, you already checked these doors for traps and listened and found and heard nothing...

You open the door and...

your torchlight reveals a HUGE room. Much larger than what your torchlight can show in a 30' radius. All you can really see is that there's a north wall 20' to the north of you. To the east, southeast, and south, the room just stretches into darkness (well, you do see the wall continuing to the south also).

You do hear faint strains of music coming from somewhere to the southeast.

(Enter the room and begin heading towards the sound - cautiously keeping distance and allowing the light to let us see everything it will show...)

"Tunes huh?..."

You notice that the walls are decorated in silver, red and blue. As you head towards the southeast, the walls gradually fade into darkness; the torchlight just keeps a 30' circle of light around you and you can't even see the far walls! About 40' in, you come to a white marble column, upon which one end of a wire framework is supported, decorated with intertwined leaves and flowers. The framework arches up and out towards the south and east.

The music sounds like a waltz.

The column appears to be really made of marble.
The wire appears to be really wire.
The leaves and flowers are real.

No traps or anything else out of the ordinary.

If you call this whole thing ordinary...

Spidey, I'm tempted to try something here...

If I take the torch, is the column/framework large enough to conceal the rest of the party from these unseen musicians, assuming they came our way?

I'm not sure what you mean by "take the torch". You mean take it and go somewhere else so the rest of the party is left in darkness?

Not really... the column is only about 5' in diameter, so the party can't really hide behind it... and the framework is attached on top of the column (which is about 15' high), like a canopy.
