Hey there everybody. I am currently trying to build a casual/competitive type one deck and i'd like a little feedback/advice. I've been reading online magic articles for a long time and have seen a large variety of Type 1 net/tournament decks. I'd like to try to avoid going that route as much as possible, although this deck uses many of the cards that drive those decks. I've paid particular attention to the articles written by Oscar Tan and J.P. Meyer. I like Oscars ideas about magic theory and efficency, and i like J.P.'s unorthodox deck choices (in reference to Invincible Counter Troll). Anyway, this deck is more or less a reflection of what i've learned playing over the years, with some inclusion of some expert insight.

-------------------------
4 Phyrexian Negator
(No Sideboard Currently)
Lame Deck Synopsis:
You may already have closed your browser windows by now, wondering why somebody would post such a horrible thing. Odd card choices and whatnot. Allow me to explain.
Phyrexian Negator
---------------------------
This is probably the sore thumb of the deck. The reasoning for playing them is simply this: I LIKE THEM. They're big, they're quick, they're scary. With the help of the deck's disruption, they beat the hell out of combo. They run over weenies. They're easy to cast. The drawback can be used to your advantage when you combo it with Balance. That really annoys people.
Timetwister
----------------
Usually used in combo decks, I like it becasue it's a relatively cheap draw 7. And I usually wait to cast it late game when I can easily Mindtwist/Balance away the opponents freshly drawn hand. Plus if I don't want to use it, it's a pitch to Force Of Will and a way to recover from the Disk. (note that the opponent may recover too, but what's a game without risk?)
4 Dark Ritual
---------------------------
Fast Negators. Multiple Duresss. 2nd Turn Bargains. Fast Disks. Extra Mana before Timetwister
Nevyrnall's Disk
---------------------------
I really really like J.P. Meyers ICT deck. The thing i like about it most is the sheer old-schoolness of it. This was one of the first cards I ever opened and it has been a favorite for a long time. It's not the quickest or most efficient way to wipe the board, but when it's there, it keeps people from playing things.
Zuran Orb
---------------------
Probably should be sideboard. But it's not. Not yet anyway.
Impulse
--------------------
Currently i have no fetch lands. I'm a cheap, poor bastard that got all of his cards 50 years ago (if you're wondering why i have a little power). In my opinion, this is the next best thing next to brainstorm. Actually I like these a little better, since you get to peek at an additional card and reshuffle.
Mishra's Factory
--------------------
I like this guy because he's an additional creature/manasource. Plus he hides from the disk.
Yawgmoth's Bargain/Will
------------------------------
They win games.
The way the deck plays is pretty simple. Duress potent spells, counter scary stuff, draw cards, drop a disk, blow up the world, then smash their face in.
The deck basically relies on a Disk or balance to punch a hole in the opponents gameplan. After one of which resolves, a Negator should quickly end things for them.
Please keep in mind the following if you bother to make any suggestions for this crap:
1. I hate Psychatog. It's a lame way to die.
2. I hate Psychatog.
3. I don't want to buy a Morphling. And I hate Psychatog.
Thanks for reading this!
