Almost hit the nail. But missed.
Please, guys - if you're not going to hit the nail on the head the first time, or are not sure - don't hit at all.
Of course I thrive on attention. I thought everyone knew that by now. Nevertheless, it's not just "attention" that I lust for - it's actually something each and everyone in the world wants: someone says something stupid, you reply to him, and you get an entire discussion or investigation about the matter. Period. It would be stupid, now, to assert that because Istanbul posted here, he merely wants attention, and is getting because I'm actually replying to him. Most of my posts in the CPA are in the Political Forum - in their I don't start many threads, I merely reply. I sometimes don't bother replying to intelligent posts. Only to pieces of naiveté. When there's a good handful of worthless members in the CPA, who do in fact post in the Political Forum, I kind of feel enraged. So I reply. They couldn't believe that their stupidity is that thin, so they become defensive, turn away, or attempt to justify their position (which is the best way to reply)...
...and that would be the story behind my crave for attention. Which is, at bottom, a crave to annihilate the stupid.
Now we all want the stupid crushed - we appear to disagree on what constitues stupid...
I could do a name-by-name analysis of some of the "intelligent" members of the CPA...give them attention...but wait, these members don't want attention brought into them! they fear attention, because once there are one eye to many to look at them, their ugliness becomes clear...
