Wow, I thought more progress would have been made in the three days I wasn't here. I needed to pack better dwarves... as it is, I think rkoelsch has this game.

It would seem the Winter/Static Orb would hurt you as much as your opponent. I would advise using some artifact mana to speed you up, like Fire Diamond or Fellwar Stone (Sol Ring would be best if it's casual).

Well, I don't know if Phage owned at your prerelease or even mine overall, but my very first opponent got his Phage out but I managed to race him and win with a 3/3 flyer while he was busily destroying my ground forces :) Of course, he then won the next 2 games, but didn't get Phage out again...
