I will agree with Mazzak that oil is tied into it. Not all or not none, but some. Why do you think we wanted to take the oil fields right away? Aside from environmental concerns? Texas and Alaska doesn't nearly supply all of the US' needs... need to look at bit more :)

I guess that's how we're differing then - I don't view as a total rewrite. Just an addition/expansion. So maybe I'm still not explaining it too well. Keep in mind this is all still moot for now since it's been decided (at least by me) to keep the site all Magic for another year, at least...

I'll play anything. I'm just trying to adapt certain party/card games to online, so whatever you think would work.

If you're going that way, consider Creeping Molds for their versatility... You could try Wild Dogs for their cycling ability also... Rogue Elephants put you back a land, but maybe a couple of those...

I think it depends. From some news accounts there are some Iraqis who are praising the coalition forces. And by some (and the same) there are not. It probably depends how one was treated there under Saddam.

I imagine it would take a while for the US to actually get the supply out though, so there could still be shortages.

If you're depending on 1 drops, I think you're going to get outraced by decks that slowly build up their mana; Sligh/red decks don't have that problem as they can burn the opposition. Winter Orb would be great but it's a rare... I would suggest substituting Rancor for the Armor of Thorns and...

I'm not sure about what you mean by "slum in some areas" and getting swamped in others. If I'm understanding it right, we're having a "slum" in Magic right now (and have been in one here for a while) Like Nightstalkers said, we have amended the Constitution quite a bit since the Founders...

I disagree. Most of the Founders have moved on. I don't see why it's too hard to understand that perhaps the site ought to move on as well. :) I get the impression you think it's going to turn into something like Gamespy or such. All I'm envisioning is "little" articles about other games that...
