I'm not sure how to say this or how it works, so here goes: I'll discard a Basking Rootwalla to activate the Aven's ability, but since I'm discarding it, I'll pay its Madness cost of 0 to play it. I assume you want to save your Aven? If not, dmg resolves? :)
