Dusk of the Spirits reminds me of Forbidden Ritual, but without anyone here to slap an errata onto it so that it sucks. I think it would be a cool card You know, with Carrion or Tombstone Stairwell or something... Merger reminds me of Dream Halls. It looks pretty much impossible to break though...

Okay, this isn't really a rules question, just a little rant of sorts... You see, I was at school eating lunch yesterday (my last day :D ) and these guys were playing Magic. This guy I knew had apparently decided that he could change a card in his hand into a disenchant and they wouldn't stop...

Wow, I just participated in a draft! Well go figure! Anyway, I think what Darius called counterdrafting these guys called "hate-drafting" and a couple of them actually did do it... I don't think my mental factulties were up to their usual level, but I was a much better/more experienced player...

Yeah me too... I don't seem myself participating in any drafts really, but I've never done it before, and it's best to be prepared, right? :D

Yes, but most of that brute force is usable only in monored decks... White doesn't do as much on its own, but it's a powerful color when combined with its friends, moreso I think than red, which has Wheel of Fortune, Goblin Welder, and not very much else unless the deck is all or mostly all...
