Exactly. Usually if the opponent is tapped out and there's no acc spells in the set, the active player assumes they can't do anything and proceeds. Otherwise, it's no big deal to back up - this is a casual place :) I'll start the thread since you didn't :)

I thought if damage was redirected or replaced, it loses all special abilities. Like first strike dmg redirected is no longer first strike dmg. But I can't find it after a quick peruse of the rules, so maybe I'm mistaken...
