    Less "Cannot be Regenerated"

Many years ago (circa 1998) I was playing in a local tournament at Fat Cats Book Store in Binghamton, NY. I was playing my first viable tournarment deck "Señor Stompy" a mono-green beasty of a deck with River Boa; a 2/1 Islandwalk creature with regeneration for {G}. Anyway, my opponent (Rory)...

The question of questions: What is casual?

People kill people. Dang, If "I" can understand this then it must make sense.

The question of questions: What is casual?

The line drawn in the sand, that is. Casual-Hater (R) or Elitist (D)? The term "Casual" can only be answered internally. What is casual to YOU may not be what is casual to me <period!> However, as for the name calling, it ought to stop. Signed - Hipocrit

Okay, here's a paragraph from an article I'm about to submit to the GASPs March Newsletter (not posting anymore GASP articles here, too boring), it's from the summary part where I take the opportunity to comment on all of the players. So I wanted to point out that "Kevin" has been flying under...

The question of questions: What is casual?

Somewhat agree with Spidey. I think a "technical" or "mechanical' definition of what is casual is playing the game in a non-tournament setting. Now, if you ask the question: "What kind of stratagy and/or deck best represents your definition of casual game play?" Well, any answer will do.

I don't know what EVERYONE thinks but this is a close-knit "Virtual" community and we're like friends who meet at a coffee house, we all have our own little grips and things that bother us so why can't we come here and express how we feel about them and in return read some worthwhile (and some...

I didn't understand the "No Whinning" rule on these forums or during a game. I'll check the updated Comp Rules to look for a ruling on whinning

    Ravager-Affinity "Replenished"?

Yeah, that would be a good one to look at restricting. I do, in fact, like the idea of restricting rather than an all out banning. They maybe could restrict: The Art Lands Arcbound Ravager Skullclamp (bring it back as restricted) Disciple of the Vault And bring back: Counterspell? :D No...

    Ravager-Affinity "Replenished"?

it's good to admit your mistakes. I read the article and he clearly makes a Mia Copa <sp?>. But we have seen this before. Also, he mentioned that they wanted to give CoK time to see what impact it would have? Don't they know when they print/develop "Hate" cards. Even if CoK already went through...

    Ravager-Affinity "Replenished"?

I hope they really don't do that. Do they realize how bad that makes them look? They should change the their door sign to say: Research & Development (With "Take-Back" privliges) OY! no, no, Double OY!

Have you looked up Muscle Sliver lately? I think on SCG it goes for like $4. :(

Ooooooooo, I just HATE IT  when folks do that! In the MML at GASP, I am percieved as the best player with Killer Decks galore! But some other player with a non-descript non-focused deck will play Apocalypse and no one ever responds or retailiates. I play first turn Tropical Island then...

Buying Magic Cards - New Set

I may have said this before but I have three friends who are judges and they get paid with product. So every now and again we have a sealed tournament (One of my friends sometimes requests a starter box instead of a booster box). So last Friday Night we had an 8 man (okay, there were two hot...

    I...hate...Eternal Witness

Kind of off the subject, but it sounds like you're refering to Eternal Witness as though it's just an uncommon like other uncommons. In my area to purchase an Eternal Witness ($8+) is just like buying a rare. So, imo, E-Witness IS a rare and certainly makes the game unbalanced in multi-player.

I, of course, am a "Hack" writer and I would probably PAY people to read my stuff :o So I'm not offended by the way you have made a blanket statement about "writers" here wanting to get paid or people you presume are not writing more or at all because they want to get paid. With that said I...

Random thought on suddenly noticing people...

But not so much I notice the attractiveness of people, but the 'potential' that people have. Working in an educational environment I am trained to see this in young people but I often see it in my fellow professionals. Actually, I don't try any harder than I already do to find out more about...

What is Art? Art is a window washer in Madison. :D But seriously forks, let's talk about the difference between Objective statements (where there is clearly right and wrong) vs Subjective statements (Which are mostly opinions based on personal feelings). Objectively? Some of the art in MTG...
