I played YB last night in a tournament I went with RW Weenie and he had waaaay more burn than I did but his "Bad Draws" and my decks low mana curve (nothing over 3cc) gave me a match win (2-1), the second game was all his, though. :rolleyes:

I haven't ruled out my Dimir Discard deck, I do have four Glimpse the Unthinkable and one of them is a foily which puts 20 cards into the graveyard, maybe.... :rolleyes:

My first deck to do me well was "Senor Stompy" it had Wurms and Elephants and Giant Growths. This was my first "Information" deck ;)

I'll be mindful that you wrote "fell in love with." Because my first real deck that worked for me and the deck I first loved are different. My first love.....**big inhale**....... It was called "Five-Color Green" and I pretty much can remember the main deck list: 2 Derelor 3 Man-'o-War 4...

Isn't Glimpse the Unthinkable a Sorcery? And I-Scepter only takes Instants, I think. :confused:

Ah, hey Wurmb, was this the Friday Night Chaos Game at BSG? I'm glad I missed it. I think Grant wanted to abuse that card but having Disenchant and a lick of counter magic for the sole reason to not let that hit the board is something to think about in the future.

I guess the Red/White synergy is within the "Boros" aggressiveness. While I was looking up possible toughness of two ground creatures I noticed several small white flying creatures and thought maybe a R/W weenie deck might better fit the current flavor of Ravnica Red/White for new standard...

Criminy! Hurricane Wilma? Did you know that the Hurricane season isn't officially over until November 30th? After this one they'll be named after the greek alphabet; Hurricane Alpha '05, Hurricane Beta '05, etc... Good grief!

I haven't drew a Honden yet by turn 7. Out go the Hondens (good idea btw, thanks) in go 3 more Tops. Maybe one copy of Razia in the main and one in the side. Fury Shield? I'll look it up. :)

The two 'on-going' events I run: Friday Magic Events at Blue Star Games and the Multiplayer Magic League at GASP (Gaming Assoc. of Southwestern PA) are non-sanctioned events. And, YES, McMoose is my T.O., personal philosopher, friend, slave-driver, provider of my second-hand smoke fix, etc...

I'm running a non-sanctioned Standard tournament on the 21st. of this month and I have no idea what to play. I basically skipped Kamigawa block and never got the "power cards" from that set so I am actually, for the first time since my UG Erratic Spikes deck, venturing out on my own with this...

I've been lucky in dodging the ball on this one! When it's on it's my turn to put the kids to bed and then I sneak down to the cellar without her noticing therefore I'm not *forced* to watch it. :D

Maybe the new R/W Angel and the new Life Gain Bolt can be added?
